I’ve had mold issues for more than a month now that remains to be unresolved. The regional management has shown concern but lacked the action to appropriately mitigate the issue or the cause of the issue. They have been pushing me to move to another unit (that they at first wanted me to pay more for, until I said my lawyer will get back to them) or to move out of the building. I did hire a lawyer. The building has leaks everywhere. My living room AC unit was leaking onto the apartment below me, enough so that it caused a stain on their ceiling. The management company is ignoring true causes of building issues. This building is old and renovations are more of a patch up job to hide issues. Neighbors have repeatedly complained about rodents, cracks on windows, and no heat or AC suddenly without notice. It’s ridiculous and blind management. Update: I moved out with the help of my lawyer. Management repeatedly ignored action and NEVER fixed the issue. Also, the last day I moved out there was a SWAT team in the building because there was an ACTIVE SHOOTER in the building who shot a young man! This place may be close to DC but it’s NOT worth losing your life violently OR because of mold issues.

If you want your department to send you emails of unreliable information about crime being committed in your complex, this is the perfect place to live. If you want to have free roommates (roaches) this is the perfect place to live. If you want a small heart attack paying rent this is the perfect place to live because they screw up your monthly rent! If you want older men cat call you, this is the perfect place to live. Cannot wait to move out of this place!!
