Don’t come here because it looks good. Serious medical mistakes have been made and are Medical Board Reportable. The first night after Transfer from a hospital I realized I was not given medicine that prevents blood clots. It took two hours to obtain it. Each day I had to fight for pain meds with each nurse making their own decision as to the timing. Then, tonight a nurse Never introduced herself and was about to give me two medications I do not take. Despite two days trying to reach the physician in charge, that physician never responded. Scary? Yes.

My mother has been living in Memory Care at NewBridge. She has been suffering from severe Alzheimer's for several years and finally, our family decided she needed more care than we could provide. While one of the hardest decisions we've ever made, it was truly one of the best. The care and love from the entire team at this place is superlative. Having been through the Covid pandemic and not being able to see her, they went to incredible lengths not only to keep her safe and the Memory Care disease free, they spared nothing to make sure each resident was getting the human attention and contact they need. They would set up Zoom calls and hold their phones while our family would try to "reach" my mother in quarantine. They would hold her hand and be a human conduit to me and my family. It moves me deeply to think of how much each person, each nurse, each art therapist, each assistant, gave in our absence. I would have written this before Covid, but in this extreme situation, the place revealed its truest colors. We remain feeling grateful and fortunate.

I would like to focus on how wonderful Newbridge on the Charles has been during the Covid-18 pandemic. We live in independent living, where we have our own apartment and multiple facilities for dining, exercising and entertainment. During the pandemic, meals, mail, library books, amazon packages and groceries have been delivered to our door. In addition, our internal television station has provided us with daily lectures, movies, music, and fitness classes. The management of NewBridge has kept us safe and secure, while ensuring that we are also entertained and active.

I love working at Newbridge..The residents and the staff are great, most of them at least, I wish I could work there permanently but it's okay. The time is spend working there is good enough and the walking paths are exceptional. Family and Friends, if you choose Newbridge, you will not regret it.
