Am I allowed to give 0 stars? Because that is what I'd rate it, if I could. I worked here for a few years and was prepared to make my career here when I went into a new department and then became completely traumatized by that supervisor. She was manipulative and genuinely hateful towards anyone who wasn't her. She ruined several friendships I had (or so I thought) and I had anxiety for months. Could hardly sleep with all the stress. I was a new mom at the time and this was NOT what I needed it to be for me and my new baby. Getting out of MHCGM was the best thing that could have ever happened.

Except for the turnover, I've had extremely good prescribers and now have an awesome therapist who has been there quite a while!

I was administered here back in July 2021 as a result of the hospital I originally went to for help not having a psych ward themselves. Here's a good question to ask, when a consular is dealing someone that is brought to their breaking point by highly toxic/mentally abusive family members (To the point where they want to kill themselves) what is something you SHOULD NOT SAY to them? If you guessed "go sleep in a tent on the outskirts of the city and abandon whatever goals in life you still have left cause you can't afford a place of your own", you get a gold star! Also, if you follow it up with "This happened more than once, didn't it?", BONUS POINTS FOR YOU!!! Also, on the day I was discharged, not only did they defend one of the abusive family members in particular; but had the gull to ask if I wanted to continue treatment there AFTER I told the guy in charge of the place what was going on! At least I know better now. When I'm feeling lost, hopeless, and trapped with no way out, I should just keep it to myself cause clearly if I end up there again, they're just going to say "You just don't want it bad enough."

Sleeping Beauty

The Mental Health Center provides great care. The admin staff are helpful and the counselors are highly skilled. If my counselor is out for a day, there is always someone that reaches out if I need someone. The nurses and medical assistants are very caring and help me stay on track with my medications.
