They were very honest about each animal we wanted to look at.

Very disappointed. The energy was super weird here..We walked in and the lady looked like she was taken back. We explained that we'd like to check out some cats and dogs in hopes of adopting. She said they usually only go by appointments but she'll let us see the cats...when we came out from visiting the cats we tried to see the dogs.. she told us no..while she had her back toward us on the computer and the other lady was on her phone. Neither explained how the actual process works or even gave us a card or any information to look over..we're military so Pet Smart is right outside the gate and they were more welcoming even when we're just buying a fish..so yea NO, WE WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE. 2 stars because the cats were cute.

They were great, I took in a Husky on a trial basis but it didn't work out, however. the staff was incredible!

What a wonderful shelter. Cats and dogs are taken there and are loved and well cared for until a foster home or forever family is found for them. Their fees includes vaccinations, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and applicable licensing. If you opt to become part of their foster network the fees are waived and medical care is provided. They operate an adoption center and have a clinic. Additionally, there is a Dog/Cat Food Bank operated out of the adoption center. They run off of donations of time, money (and food and liter as well). If you want further information give a call. They have a limited staff and ask that you leave a message if the machine picks up, they will get back to you! As of June 27, 2020, Boomer and Buddy are both looking to either be adopted or fostered. They are Newfoundlands, both incredibly sweet. They are part of a trio (brothers from different litters), Bailey was adopted today! While older, these two have personalities that will win over any heart.

They are no kill and will foster. I believe those which do not have sponsorship have fees associated
You are more than welcome to donaye his food and toys when you take him in. They should have room!
Bring her to the ASPCA, they accept surrendered dogs and they will make sure she goes to a good home

Give them a call, I think it's still the same you'll have to go over and fill out some paperwork.
Only in certain circumstances will we take them. Try animal control.
If they don't have one call Alaska Bully Rescue, Anchorage Animal Care and Control. If I remember correctly there's a list of rescue places on the Municipality website.
We do at the bottom of our website we have our pictures of current adoptable pets.
Currently the Alaska Spca only has cats and dogs available for adoption.
They do but it's not free give them a call at 344-3033
Our dog was $200 and he was a year and a half old roughly.
