Straight forward church, people, and preaching. My spouse and I found that while some said hello etc. that when we indicated we were new everyone responded positively. Pastor Brad lays the word out straight and gets you to think about the message. Praise band is good and doesn't blow you out of the Sanctuary and was very enjoyable. A pleasant surprise was a really nice coffee shop manned by several friendly people. We really learned and enjoyed the message and the people so please if you want to find Christ and need a church home come visit. I think we're staying!

As a visitor of the church, I was screamed at today by a tall Caucasian man with a long white beard as I was approaching the event outside. He was a large man it was was incredibly threatening. I actually turned around, walked home, and cried. Never have I been screamed at by a complete stranger for simply walking through, nevertheless a man - this man - who is obviously a member of the church.

It honestly bums me out that I have to put down 3 stars for this church. I would like to start off by saying that I love the messages from Pastor Brad. You can tell that this man loves to preach God's word. I really do believe this is a biblical church. I've been going to this church for over 6 months now. I'm not kidding when I say this, but I literally haven't had a single person greet me at the door or even have one elder of the church come up to introduce themselves to me. The weird thing about this church is it almost seems like everyone is scared to talk to each other. There is definitely a spirit of fear when it comes to socializing. It just baffles me that not one elder in this church has come up to me. Hey Cornerstone, you seriously need to have a sit down with your elders and tell them to start talking to new people that come to the church. What happens when a lost soul comes into your church and no one makes them feel welcome or takes time to reach out to that person. You know what happens? They end up leaving because no one wants to go to a place where they don't feel welcome.

Hi Ruth, Yes, it is specifically for non-members. You will learn all about the church, its mission, believes, etc. Definitely worth it. If you can, give them a heads up as they provide dinner as well.
The church has a doctrinal statement available online which includes a position on Election. This may best answer your question. Find the statement here: http://www.akcornerstone.org/resources/articles/statement-of-faith/
You do not need to be a member. You're more than welcome to come. Hope you can make it.
