This location is awesome! Staff is welcoming and the expansion is great. They have expanded their club and have new equipment on the way. The gym feels a lot bigger than it used to be. There is still room to move around during prime hours and you don’t feel like you’re crowded/in everyone’s way.

Super helpful staff, not just trying to push memberships like some gyms but willing to help folks passing through the area too. Great use of floor space. Cardio and machine weights towards the middle, all clean and well maintained. Free weights in the back, plenty of benches, squat racks, and several Olympic platforms. TRX box type area and a straight up boxing ring, then a good dumbbell area upstairs. Several areas with foam rollers etc for mobility work etc. What more could you want?

*PLEASE READ* This is an amazing gym with an even better staff! I'm a former college athlete and this gym has everything you need and is literally one of the best gyms I've been to if not the best. It has everything for functional training, bodybuilding, athletic training, weekend warriors, or new gym goers. They're still reconfiguring some things but the gym is fully operational and you can get a great workout. The staff is extremely accomodating and and caring. I wish I lived in the area so I could go here full time and take my workouts to the next level. I'll be back the next time I'm out this way.

I joined this gym after leaving another that went downhill in the area. When I joined, they were just reopening after the pandemic and it was very clean. I enjoyed this gym for a long time, but it’s just been so dirty as of the past few months. I’m attaching photos of machines I’ve taken over time. The clumps of dirt and dust show that no one is routinely cleaning and sanitizing this equipment. The other OneLife locations I go to (shout out to Rockville) are very clean with a staff member who carries and cleans with a portable vacuum cleaner and they wipe each machine by hand. I see them nearly everyday regardless of what time I go in. Not at the Alexandria location. In nearly two years of being a member I don’t think I ever saw any staff cleaning the gym floor and equipment. Sauna floors go for weeks with the same dirt and debris and messages written on the glass door. This is not a healthy environment in terms of cleanliness and could pose a health risk to those allergic to dust or have asthma. I will say that the staff in general is friendly, but I do think they need to invest in some staff who are solely hired to clean. Many members also don’t wipe off their machines, compounding the cleanliness issue. Cord and cable management is also an issue, as people are always tripping on these lose cords (photo). I hope it improves. 2 stars because the staff is nice to me when I come in (a few even remember your name), and because the gym is close to home. PS- they close at 6pm on the weekend, which I thought was just a covid measure, but it looks like most of their clubs have this as their standard hours. This is hard to digest if you’re used to extended or 24 hour options. Edit- the gym is still dirty after “bringing it to their attention”. Adding photos of this disgusting locker room. You all need to FIX THIS ASAP. It is a health hazard.

Hello Kiel and thank you for your interest in Onelife! We do not have a pool at our Alexandria club, however many of our other locations feature aquatics and the best SPLASH around! You can check out more details at www.onelifefitness.com. Thank you and happy New Year!
Onelife has never been 24hr. Most gyms are switching back to "normal" hours in Virginia in October if they haven't done so already
