They take wonderful care of me cats. I adopted two and had many great years with them.

From your first cat to getting your 2nd cat, these volunteers make you as comfortable as they make their cats. Matching your personality to that of the cat is key for a happy household and these ensure the chemistry is there for both parties.

Got my street cat neutered here partially funded by ARL. Thoroughly examined and received much needed shots. Place runs like a fine machine. Now he's a house cat.(he's not happy about yet)

After waiting 9 days, we call the shelter. A lady picks up the phone and says she’ll review our application, and that we can start our interview right now. Her first question is just confirming the information on our application, and asking about our current cat. She asks if our cat is an outdoor cat, and we state that she gets outside sometimes, by following us out the door, when we go outside to garden, eat, or just spend some time outside. We explain that she is not an outdoor cat and is not meant to be outdoors. The woman on the phone tells us that this is an indoor only shelter, which, we knew, and the last shelter we adopted from was as well. We state this and she tells us that we ‘lied and deceived’ the other shelter. Might I repeat, our cat is not and outdoor cat in any way. She tells us we need to work on “door safety”, although as we have repeated multiple times, our cat does not open the door herself to get outside, she follows us sometimes when we go outside, and we can’t decide what our cat does. This lady is trying to find any loophole in our way of speech she can to deny us our application. She also tells us they don’t do house checks, which in my opinion, I believe would be useful. She picks a fight over the phone, and says she’ll refer us to the board, but shortly after making this point, she says she’ll be hanging up and will not be contacting us. This treatment was horrible, I will not be adopting from here, and I don’t recommend that anyone does.

When is spay wagon coming in fall of 2011?
Hi Jessica, We do not neuter rabbits. We have a low cost spay/neuter program but it is only for cats and dogs. The procedure to spay/neuter a rabbit is very in depth so that is why it is expensive and why not all vets do it. The Odd Pet Vet in Weymouth is the lowest cost vet that does it in the area that we have found. Hope this helps!
Check with the Shelter directly, but I believe that they do.
Please call and talk to Julia. She can tell you if there are times you could volunteer.
What is your phone number?
There would need to be a parent to accompany the child while volunteering.
Tractor Supply, Petco and Petsmart have low cost clinics.
We are by appointment only, but there is someone here answering phone calls and emails Mon-Saturday 9-2 pm
Absolutely!
Hi Gail, we have the ASPCA spay waggin here once per month for Spays and Neuters. If you give us a call we can give you more information about the dates and cost. It is very, very reasonable!
