I’m unemployed and about to have surgery soon and I’m not eligible for snap. They literally give people who are in need a hard time. There are ppl who can’t work right now and need money for food and as usual the state doesn’t care .

Says number is not in service . I will say this trying to get help these days is next to impossible especially for shelter . They are working from home and don't care and it shows sadly . They hang up act like they don't get emails and don't return calls just send an email case closed the lack of compassion and communication is dispicable it never use to be like this before the pandemic if you needed help they helped ! Please start helping families more and if you won't even show up to me work for fear of exposure why would you put families in harms way by exposing them to 15 other families in one place if it could be avoided like it use to be ? Do better !

I have tried several times to reach out to an agent Allen R. who left a message regarding an issue with my application. I called back the number he called from and left voicemails 3x. No call back. By the time I spoke with someone else she told me I was no longer eligible for emergency assistance as too much time had passed. Time I was waiting to hear back from the agent. Also, how are the hours 8:15am-4:45pm. What government agency closes at 4:45pm. Online it states 5pm how when I call the main number and listened to all the recordings put in my personal information it said offices were closed and to call back during normal business hours for 8:15am-4:45pm.

If you’re having difficulty with any state program ask to speak to the supervisor. If the supervisor is still not accommodating your needs, go above him or her. Make sure to send certified letters or emails that are professional, typed-out or well written and “spell-checked.” Don’t get angry with anyone, but stand firm. If you are mentally disabled contact the Department of Mental Health. They can assign a case worker to help you. I hope this helps. God Bless.

Hey lala617dummY it's crazy right but it's like a def $50 dollars if he don't pay or even if he does? The 50 from DTA u get means if he gets any DTA he loses $50 off it every week. He probably don't get DTA but if he ever does he owes and won't get any of that money u get till he pays them back. It's cause so many father's don't pay so someday somehow
You should bring a friend or family member who speaks both English and Spanish with you to your appointments. Some DTA locations offer free English classes. If you became fluent in two languages you’d be able to find a good paying job and wouldn’t need help. Good luck.
