We saw turkey literally on the road. Deer just off the road. Gators in the water. One was about 12' long at the bridge a few miles from entrance. You may see nothing, come back 1-2 hours later and they start coming out of the vegetation. They are quick & can travel about 35mph. Keep your distance.

Alligator was hiding under the bridge. I was able to see a manatee in which the park ranger said they usually come around towards the end of August.

The park was awesome, but the “welcome” was trash! Bailey was so rude and laughed at me when I asked if there was a military discount. I paid, then was a sign for a discount, asked about it and she said I could go do that online my next visit and then an extremely sarcastic “have a nice day”! The park itself was pretty awesome! Got to see an alligator, and the sky walk was worth the entire trip! Lots of great plants to see! Didn’t want to like it after dealing with Bailey, but despite here being terrible, I did love the park.

$6 a car load! Can't beat that. Climb the tower, walk the elevated bridge between the towers. Climb the 112 steps to see a great treetop view of the park. you can spend an hour or two, or pack a lunch, hike the trails all day!
