I never write reviews like this, but I left this shop with my jaw dropped. The man working here is so astonishingly rude, immature and condescending. After ordering me to sit on a folding chair in the middle of the room while he worked, he started altering the colors/contrast/brightness in Photoshop without my permission. I had to argue with him to put it back, which he took personally. He continually insulted my images (just a couple vacation photos I wanted printed extra large), even saying "You seem to like this, but I don't." When it came out of the printer I pointed out how the top had been cut off. Before even looking at it he angrily said, "You are accusing me of cropping it incorrectly?" I think he was embarrassed I was right because the next ten minutes was a condescending lecture about how he knows what he's doing and that was the computer's fault and I should've left more room at the top of the photo in the first place. Eventually I tried to get up out of the chair because my back hurt but he told me to sit back down like I was someone he could abusively order around. I stayed standing, but I wish I would have taken my money and walked out without the prints... or, better yet, never walked in. Who is this man and how is he still in business when he treats customers this way? It's such a shame because as far as I know this is the only locally owned photo print shop of its kind in Sarasota since Wolf Camera closed years ago. I guess I'll go to Staples next time I need an 11x14 enlargement.

High-class processing and scans. The owner is very prompt and offers excellent customer service. He takes a great deal of time to examine each person's job and the results can be seen at the end. Courteous staff and nothing more to ask for. I couldn’t think of going to any other photo lab. I got very good copies of old photo of my family! Will be back! Thanks.

Had some prints made from digital files. Even though he was in the middle of a project when I walked in, he processed my work on the spot with good quality and stayed true to my strange color adjustments. I love the fact I could sit and view my photos on another screen to approve or not as he worked. Price was very reasonable. Will be back!

I’ve been taking some analog pictures lately and have been using some strange, discontinued film stocks that more often than not need some work. Not only did the owner of this shop scolded me for doing analog photography saying things like: “your phone takes better pictures” to “none develops the film anymore, why bother” which by the look of the work hanging on the walls, seems to me he believes what he says .... it didn’t even occur to him that in fact, me and my friends develop film at home, in our makeshift dark-rooms and developing cans and the process is indeed laborious but not rocket science. So there you go, why hiring the services of this shop if “you can take better pictures with your phone”

Sorry, but we cannot

I'm looking for a way to develop a roll of film or so. I would go to CVS or Walgreens, but they discard the roll after digitally scanning it. I do not need scans, just the developed negatives. Can Digital Photo Lab do this? What is the cost? Thanks!
