So I didn't end up choosing this complex because I needed a slightly different location -- but I just had to jump on here to say that Haley in the front office is amazing. She was super helpful during my apartment search, reaching out to give me options and check up on the status of my search. Thanks Haley! You're a rockstar! I'll definitely consider CNP in the future.

Loved working with Cortland's leasing office. Very professional, punctual and great communication skills. I have visited many communities before setting on this one and very happy with my choice. Great on-site amenities and they do a great job of maintaining the place for their residents to enjoy.

My husband and I have had an awful experience here. So many maintenance issues throughout our time here so far. For starters our apartment was not ready when we moved in August 2021. I had to put in multiple service requests, called leasing office, visited with leasing office staff multiple times, and called emergency line after hours to get things fixes. When we moved in our kitchen sink was full of hair and water wouldn’t drain properly, dishwasher wasn’t working, they gave us wrong mailbox keys multiple times, mail was missing once and I can tell because I get pictures of our mail and when I checked that day our mailbox was wide open. We didn’t have a shower rod which took weeks to get one that somewhat works. They just kept blaming the contractors. Soon after that our dryer was a headache, it wouldn’t dry our clothes. After multiple service request over the same thing they had a professional come out and he found a bird nest clogging the path. And now we’re currently dealing with no hot water for the second time in 8 months😕 if it’s not one thing it’s another here. I put in a service request through our portal two days ago (Friday) and now it’s Sunday with still no hot water. I even called the leasing office on Friday to let them know it was an emergency. I was told “I’ll text the guys”. I’ve talked to their manager before and have told her how we felt. Specifically mentioned that it feels like they worry more about potential residents than the residents they already have. I get the business aspect but Cortland North Plano has done it very poorly. I will hopefully have another conversation with management soon and will update this review.

If you have bad credit you will need a cosigner.
What else would you expect them to do? The apartment complex has no control over what an individual does. If you ask them "am I safe here?" They aren't going to tell you no and tell you to move out. You're just as safe here as anywhere else in the city
