I've been sea kayaking for ... well, a long time (over 30 years). My main boat is one of the original Caribous. I love kayaks. We have four, but sometimes we have a fifth person (daughter's boyfriend for example), and need another boat. These guys were great (Kevin especially), they understood our needs and were very helpful. Set us up with a 14.5, not one of their regular 10 and 12 foot bathtubs (which are entirely appropriate for most renters and can be a lot of fun). Delivered it to our rental house (and brought a couple of alternatives in case we didn't want that one). Just generally very nice folks. The location of the shop is great for getting out on the Bass R, which is a fun place to paddle. Highly recommended!

Friendly and helpful staff! They were able to accommodate us to bring our dog on the tandem kayak. They provided safety equipment such as life vests and a map of the river (P.S. BYO life jacket for your dog). Would definitely recommend to check out this place if you're looking to rent a kayak or paddle board in the Bass River area.

The minute we walked into the store they were rushing us to sign the waiver and telling us that we need to get back before they close even tho we got there 3 hours before the store was supposed to close and only rented for 1.5 hours. Didn't even ask us how to experience the activity and started throwing us life jackets and equipment that they assumed it was appropriate for us. The main lady from the front desk acted very condescending as well. When we asked for a refund at the end, she made a remark like "Oh that's funny I have never heard anyone do this..." She would keep trailing off the topic because she realized that if she would continue it would be inappropriate. I do appreciate how "professional" she tries to be, but when a customer backs out any service you should still treat them with respect. They have people on shore constantly watching you make us feel very uncomfortable, like being monitored. I get if it is liability issues, but the way they are operated by some bunch of high school kids with one single adult made us feel a bit unsafe. We thought we would sign up for an equipment rental, but instead, we got a full babysitting experience. If you are a first-timer then it might be a go for you, but if u just want to rent the equipment and explore yourself, look somewhere else. UPDATE on 07/08/2022: The reason we didn't continue the activity is not because of lifejacket requirements, I understand lifejackets make safer or any other insurance reasons the business might have. (Fun fact: There are a couple of pictures on the Google page with ppl who are not wearing life jacket, hmmmm...) The reason why we didn't participate is because of how the business was operated. We felt rushed and very informative, Especially when we were lectured by some girl about how to operate the equipment At the same time the owner yelling in the background to fill out the forms. Water sports on the claim water are supposed to be relaxing and fun, not "pushing us into the battlefield". Hope the owner understands why that made us feel very uncomfortable.

Yes! There are multiple places that you can park along the river and put your canoe in. Town of Dennis public landings: https://www.town.dennis.ma.us/sites/dennisma/files/uploads/landings.pdf Town of Yarmouth public landings: https://www.yarmouth.ma.us/196/Boat-Ramps If you need tide/wind advice, feel free to give us a call. Red and green buoys mark where boats with motors go, so you do want to stay on the outside of the boat channel. If/when you cross it, just look both ways, let the motor boat go first, then cross behind them. Hope that helps!
Sorry Janet our leases do not allow storage
