Park your car at Hatches Harbor Walk, then take a 30 minute walk to a beautiful view of the sunset. In November you will see the sun go down right behind Race Point Lighthouse.

A cute little lighthouse with beautiful surroundings. We hiked here via the Hatches Harbor Trail. The connecting beach is good to check out too.

Very remote and beautiful location. Very few people visit this awesome place. If you're going to walk there, make sure to go in the evening when it is less hot and sunny. You can get there either through the dunes or through the beach, it takes about 3 hours (6 hours round-trip), make sure bring water and snacks. The quality of the beach varies, some places are good for swimming while others are rocky. Unfortunately you can't bring any pets with you.

Race Point Beach is part of National Park Services, you will need to pay for parking to the beach parking area. There are public rest rooms. Walk the beach to the light house. You may even see whales swimming along shore, we did.
Yeah you need a special permit, 4x4 vehicle and you're pressure under 12 psi to do it. It's also a great walk!
You can drive to the light house after deflating your tires at a station that they have ready, only certain times of year I believe. You can't stay the night unless you have reserved it ahead of time. Check out their website for more info.
