The beach has a lot of pebbles. This is not a very sandy beach. However this is a pet friendly place :)

Wow! My dog Is usually afraid of water but today was party. A lot a dogs with very good energy, the water is clean and shallow, the view over Boston, the mood was just perfect. Definitely a treasure for dog and their friends

The beach area is great to let your pup off leash and enjoy the water. The sand area is separated from the road etc by dunes/barrier to prevent erosion which creates a great perimeter for dog safety. Be aware though that toward the end of the beach where there is rocks/house there is an alternate exit. FYI in case you have an escape artist. Not a bad walk from the parking area but it can be a little over a mile if the lot is crowded. .7 mi otherwise. On an overcast non-beach day/weekday it’s an easy destination for those who like us are not locals. This was @alformayor (IG) first beach trip and he liked it!

What a wonderful place to bring our pup! Parking is a bit of a nightmare, as you need a Nahant sticker to park close. The beach itself is great and secluded for dogs with rocks blocking both sides of the beach. Just wish there was a walkway/path down to the beach on the side closer to the public parking.

We went last weekend and it was a disaster. I'd day go early and get a spot in the parking lot and walk over. You will get ticketed and possibly towed if you try to park past the bridge.
You have to park at tides and walk down and across the street theres no parking only residential
There is no public parking, there is a residents only lot close, not many options.
