Good morning. As we enjoy this place very much yesterday I was offended a little. I was approached by a counter worker and told that I will not be allowed in the store again with my mask which was a double cotton neck mask that goes all the way from the bottom of my neck to under my eyes. Then she told the front that the guy shouldn’t be allowed and don’t allow anyone in the store. Then upon looking closer both of them had decorative cotton masks which are not recommended for use on. Please have them read the guidelines. If going by letter of the law neither mask should be authorized correct. And with the shape of my face and beard a normal cotton mask or surgical doesn’t fit right. Very disappointed in the interaction and I will for sure let others know. Thank you for listening. Steve

Who is doing the pricing now? Johnnycake has really turned their back on low income people and are now catering to the rich watch hill Weekapaug crowd. Johnnycake used to be affordable but now it’s where rich people shop! When it’s cheaper to buy it new at Walmart or eBay then why would I shop here?

I really do love to shop here because the prices on clothes , shoes , and accessories are really great . I love looking for unique home decor finds , books , etc as well . For me it is very therapeutic to thrift , going through all the old and interesting things , touching vintage fabrics , seeing the colors . It helps with my ptsd symptoms . However I’d only give 3 stars because while most of the staff is nice , there is one older lady who I believe is the head manager who is always so very mean . She seems to be decent to some people but every time I come she gives me very dirty looks , she’s made very rude comments . It makes me not want to return / very uncomfortable. She doesn’t realize that I drive there and spend time and money there as a creative and helpful outlet and her mean spiritedness sends me home feeling bummed . I treat people with kindness and just expect that from others . Be kind because you don’t know what others are experiencing.

Masks required, dressing rooms closed, temps taken at the door, and no returns/exchanges. Store looks great. They do limit amount of shoppers at one time. Hours shortened, too.

They do offer help with things like that if they live in their service area. The person needing the help will have to be the one to come in and request it. Tell them to bring ID, copy of utility bills, etc. The social services staff will be able to tell them what else they require. They can also call 211 United way. They can give you more resources for help such as the warm shelter and st Vincent de paul. If they are a veteran you can contact veterans United
Yes, contact their social services department. Depending on where you live (if you are within their service area) they give household vouchers. They get headboards, floorboards and frames donated but they do not take mattresses or box springs. They can also give you a list of resources in your area. Also call 211, they can also help and have additional list of places that might be able to help you. Also maybe contact St. Vincent de Paul
You do not need an appointment. You should call ahead just in case we close esrly due to the heat.
Yes it has power and is open tomorrow
I don't understand. What is a "money day?"
Anything in saleable condition.
