Great location, loved the river. My kids played in the river most of the time. The store had a great selection. The cabins were perfect. My only con was the dated bathrooms, owners, time for an overhaul this fall/winter. It would make it so much better.

This campground has the potential to be an awesome place to stay, but it really falls short. There is beautiful hiking and scenery close by. The women who work in the camp store are friendly and helpful, and some of the sites are beautiful, but I wouldn’t stay here again. There are tons of other campgrounds around to choose from. We made our reservations in February and we were told that sites 1 and 1a would be the best place for our party of 10 adults and 6 children. These sites are awful. You do not want 1 and 1a- it’s mostly a rocky road. They might work for a party of 2 and a party of 6 all together. Plus, these sites are directly across the creek from the main parking lot/store, so it’s loud (due to heavy construction equipment moving around all day), and there are lights on all night. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. There are pay showers and the only urinal in the mens room is out of order. The security guard (who I understand is also the owner) is an intense man who, in my opinion, was a bit scary. He had a gun w/ multiple clips and handcuffs on his belt. He tells you there is a strict 5 mph speed limit, but apparently this does not apply to his golf cart or skid steer which both fly around the campsite at 20+ mph. Quiet hours begin promptly at 10, and he makes sure to pop into your site and tell you- even when you’re just sitting by the campfire talking and laughing- no music, no lights, no kids. We felt monitored and restricted during our time at the campground.

I cannot say enough about the Lost River Campground! I’ve been camping here for several years now with my family. Started off in a tent and now have a camper. For us, it’s such a perfect location. Out in the middle of nowhere (what it feels like) surrounded by the national forest, but still close enough to all the white mountains attractions. Lost river has some amazing river sites which we love cooling off in during our summer stays! The campground offers a lot for families with children of all ages. A nice playground, basketball court, game room and they try to provide lots of fun activities for everyone to join in on. Their nice little pond offers fishing and paddle boats. This by far is our favorite place in NH to camp. Even dog friendly! So if you’re looking for a great place to camp whether it be in a tent, cabin, or camper/RV with the family or just by yourself, I would highly recommend checking them out!

I go with my family almost every year and I love it so much. the dog rocky is the cutest thing and I see kids with him all the time. I feel at home every time I go there. I guess the new lights are cool, but I don't go out of my way to see them. There was a bouncy house there once and I was super confused. I always prefer the natural quiet stuff. The cabins, trees, river, tents, marshmallows, and the stars. seeing the bouncy house gave me whiplash mentally. Luckily, it's deep in the woods and not many people see it.

Some of them you can
Yes. It is a quarter for five minutes.
Hi Sandra, The rate depends on many things, time of year, site type, number of guests... We now take all of our reservations on our website. Once you input the dates you are looking to book, and select the site type, you will be able to see what is available and the prices. I hope this helps and we hope to see you soon.
Hello Kenny, We have differant types of cabins. My suggestion is to go online for the descriptions. None of them right now have linens or cookware. Hope this helps, Lia
It's also worth noting that cell data connections are spotty. You may need to drive into Woodstock to get a reliable connection. Since most all area trails and attractions now require advance online reservations, WiFi/cell network is important. I prefer to book on short notice, so I can change plans based in the weather. But trying to make online reservations from the campsite can be an exercise in frustration.
No
Lost river camp ground is a awsome place and have cabins as we but the tent sites are right along river well l dont know about river large stream does turn into rived very cool place
They have a site map on the website where you can find it.
Hi, I was wondering that myself too. I just called and they did have some availability for just 2 nights. I asked about 2 nights for the following week. So I would call to ask if they have 2 nights available the time you are looking to go! :)
Cabin rental prices are on their website. They are dog friendly. Dogs of course need to be on a leash and can't be left alone. We stayed here last year, loved it so much we are returning in a few weeks to the same exact camp site.
