The property was nice. Unfortunately, we were placed on the "garden" floor, which unbeknownst to us was also the pet friendly floor. Staff was not accommodating when we complained. Also left golf clubs for pickup with front desk by carrier, and made a point to emphasize the issue. Front desk said they had it covered, but uniformed front desk staff had no knowledge of any carrier pickup. Had to address it the next day with the hotel and carrier when no longer on property . One exception: "Richard" at the front desk was helpful in ultimately resolving the shipping issue. Like many service oriented places, the hotel was understaffed. This is understandable given the current economic climate. But the front desk should more helpful and informed.

This met all of my expectations. We were looking for a small New England town with a ton of history and this did not disappoint. The Inn was incredibly gorgeous. As soon as you stepped into the lobby you felt like you were transported back in time. The staff was wonderfully kind and helpful. There are so many rooms to explore, each with their own unique feel. The grounds itself were beautiful as well. There were a ton of flowers in bloom and a ton of different areas to just sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The room itself was a very nice size and beautiful. It made me not want to leave Vermont!

Wow! Lovely comfortable rooms and absolutely delightful staff. Also? The athletic club pool was great to be at on a chilly winter day. We enjoyed a really fun water aerobic class as well as the hot tub and sauna. All very clean….come here and chillax in a gorgeous setting in a beautiful town. Nice place for an annual refresh!

We stayed at the Inn 2/20-2/23. Being school vacation week in NE, the Inn was full of families. For some reason, many of these families, often in large groups, were allowed to order food for delivery and eat in the common areas. Most evenings, there was no place to sit because the common areas were jammed with discarded pizza boxes, clothing and gear. Even the library was full. There were no areas designated as "quiet" or "family." These groups pretty much took over the Inn and the staff made no attempt to police them. Children were also allowed in the bar area. One night, there were no seats at the bar because people moved the seats to their table to accommodate their children. We complained about the situation to one of the desk staff who merely shrugged. We ended up canceling our dinner reservations and drove 30 minutes to a restaurant in NH. I expect this scene at a low cost, ski area motel, not the Woodstock Inn. **Edit: Management reached out to me in response to my feedback and I am more than satisfied with their response. I have no doubt a visit to the Inn is a wonderful experience for couples at different times of the year.
