I visited this beautiful beach one cloudy Monday morning. I was in search of waves to surf. I was not completely let down. The beach itself is really nice. The sand is soft, there are not many rocks. The beach is very long, but as far as I could tell there was only parking on the far side near the motel. The water was refreshing and not too cold. It was about 67 degrees in early August. There were lifeguards stationed along the beach. A good beach for kids I'd say because it has a lot of room. Nice place, I hope to return as soon as the swell picks up because I feel like only got a small taste of what this beach has to offer for surf. I saw a point break near some rocks and there is a lot of beach break as well.

A hidden gem. I was planning to go to Good Harbor Beach but the parking lot was already full for non-residents. As we were driving to find another parking area, we came across Long Beach. Parking was $20 on friday and they have restrooms and shower. The beach was sandy and water was refreshing and clean. I cant wait to go back.

One of my all time favorite beaches. Plenty of beach to walk, water isn't as cold as up in Maine. The waves are often times great, lots of boogie boarding and even surfers. There are SUP rentals at the Cape Ann Motor Inn parking lot. Love walking the beach at night too!

THE BEST BEACH!!! Soft sand, no rocks or seaweed. SO CLEAN!!! Its huge, so you aren't sitting on top of each other. Nice big waves for body surfing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding and fun. Great place for kids. No public restrooms on the beach, but there is a parking area on the left hand side that has restrooms and and outdoor showers. You will not regret visiting. Memories are made at this beach for sure!!

It is open. Dogs are not allowed until the end of September.
Yes it open to everyone. It only had a certain number of spaces for anyone not from the area though so if you go get there early.
Parking was $20 weekdays /$35 weekend... yes, theres showers and restrooms
I think they are just doing that on the weekends. I went there last week. On a Monday and it was open for all. Parking was $25.
Public. Although Gloucester closed all of its beaches to non-residents, my wife and I (from Boston) were able to go there on Sunday and had an excellent time. Beautiful beach, friendly people, Cold water. :)
