Questions & Answers

How would you help a family member that is a veteran and doesn't talk to the family at all? There is no way to get in touch with them, since they changed their number an cut off contact with the family.

Good afternoon, If you have their address and know they need assistance connecting to VA or state veterans' benefits, it may help to have a local Veterans' Service Officer make contact with them to offer any assistance or guidance they may need. A good place to start is by visiting mass.gov/veterans to use our "Find your local Veterans' Service Officer" that will give you their assigned agent's contact info. - Anthony

DVS is in the 7th floor @ 600 Washington St.

Do they provide some financial services to families of a veteran.

Local benefits (Chapter # 115) are ultimately governed by the office, but the veteran or surviving spouse needs to initiate the claim through their local city or town Veterans Service Officer

In the Mass. VA system is there any facility that I can obtain a Yellow Fever or it’s substitute prior to leaving for Brazil on 12/31/2018? Thanks

Yes, it would be best to check in with VA clinic or hospital near you: https://www.va.gov/directory/guide/state.asp?dnum=ALL&STATE=MA
