Well I’ve been there twice the first time I had less metal and copper they gave me 140 cash which was fine the second load was twice as much and the man there not the women I dealt with the first time was a smart mouth ripped me off paid me 114 and gave me so much trouble and was being pretty ignorant towards me I never go to those ripoffs again what a joke he was and I was just being nice he wasn’t. I think their ripoffs my self I know they are I would chance going their if I was anybody sorry to say. It it’s the truth he said I will adjust it and he sure did I got taken by them never again

Great people and great place. Been bringing scrap metal here for years and it has always been easy and fast! Drive up on the scale, get weighted, drive around back, dump it, drive up on scale again, move off scale to park, go in and collect your cash. yes CASH! Easy to get too and easy to find. The owner and staff are very nice people and very friendly. It isn't often that you find a scrap yard that is this helpful. Try Winthrop Steel Company when you got metal to get rid of, you and your wife will be glad you did.

I've dealt with other scrap yards in the past and found the staff to be a bit "unfriendly". No so at Winthrop Steel. Great people to work with. I appreciate that they will take the time to look at a sample of your scrap and advise how to sort/prep it to get the best price.
