This is a great place to relax and chill after a long hard days work and catch a great southern cooked meal to end the day.

WOW! We decided to get take out from Slade’s on Saturday night. We were very captivated by the wide selection of delicious choices. Upon picking up the food I was welcomed into a fun & lively environment with great music and wonderful service. We ordered the catfish nuggets, fried chicken wings, yams, macaroni and cheese & black eyed peas. Everything was absolutely scrumptious — we’d have to say it is the best Soul Food we’ve had to date. We will be back soon!!

I ordered the chicken livers and asked that they do not over cook them. Well guess what happened, when I got my order the chicken livers were hockey pucks. The Bruins could have used them during one of their games. I would never have put them in an order. Chicken livers only take about 2 - 3 minutes in a deep fryer.

My boyfriend and I wanted some authentic soul food while in Boston and this place came up. It took us 25 min from the Financial district to get there and it was worth the trip. My boyfriend had the grilled pork chops, candied yams and macaroni and cheese and I had the sweet plantains. One word....DELICIOUS!! Our server, Chayla was very personable and the atmosphere was welcoming. Next time we're in Boston, we will definitely head here again. Thanks Slades Bar and Grill!!

Children are welcome to eat in the restaurant during the day. I've seen them myself while waiting in line to pick up my wings on certain Fridays.

Slades has alway been just that, Sladesij. It has been in business since the 1930s. It why it so small...business that far back in history and own by minority were not knot known to be very big. Bars in general, given how drinking had been frown upon and at one point, illegal have alway been on the small size. Slades has alway been under the name of Slades.
