Yes you can take your dog(s). You should also use the restroom before you head down the trail. Maps are available at the entryway that are paper. And if the route gets too hard or you need to go back you can cut back over and go back. The trails are pretty shady so you don't need to worry about getting a sunburn. There were some bugs so I would wear bug spray and maybe some eye protection because the flies will navigate to your eyes. Overall a nice good 45 minute hike.

Nice park for a quick stop for a rest. I am not from the area so some of this is based on assumptions. There seemed to be a lot of.kids with bikes I assume for riding on the trails . There is a fitness arena of sorts on the property but not really sure since we never went inside. There are picnic benches but no trash area , pavilion , or area.to grill . There is a Tin man for a nice picture opportunuty. Last thing there is some areas where you can fish.

Always a great experience. It is well kept and groomed (winter) and picked up (summer). There was only one time seeing a pile of dog feces right under where they supply bags so people can pick up after their dogs, but otherwise, have ever seen a bunch of dog droppings, trash, etc. Very nice place to take a hike alone or as a group :-)

Amazing trails, walking and hiking! So peaceful. You can spend the day here and still not hit every trail. On the water as well makes it for a great experience. Don't miss this hidden gem in Rutland, Vermont.

The West bus will leave you close to the park, it's just a short walk. Just tell the driver you want to get off by the park.
