I took my cat to the emergency center around 5PM on a Monday after he vomited a tamper-resistant aluminum band. We were seen almost immediately (< 20 minute wait) despite not having an appointment or calling ahead. I imagine that is somewhat unusual. I was prepared for a several hour wait as he wasn't in any immediate distress. Thankfully it seemed to be a slow night. I was quoted a higher price than I actually paid (when does that ever happen) which was a nice surprise. Overall I paid $405 for the visit and an x-ray which is reasonable, especially given the care I received. They were treating me as much as my cat! Haha. All of the staff from the front desk to the vet were professional, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I was given updates on my cat every 10-15 minutes. I was informed of multiple options to take (i.e. induce vomiting or do an x-ray, the pros/cons of each, as well as the cost of each). Check in and check out were a breeze, even for a first-time patient like my cat and I. I would have preferred to be able to go back with my cat to help keep him calm, but I understand that having every owner in the back would create chaos and cramp the space. Just be prepared to wait in the waiting room and not with your pet. My only complaint is that they probably need a bigger space. All of the rooms were full of other patients so my conversations with the vet were in the waiting room which offered no privacy. Thankfully my cat was perfectly fine, so I was ok having those conversations in front of others. Picture of the culprit attached. He has ZERO remorse. Haha.

My dog was vomiting and experiencing bloody diarrhea when I brought her in to Columbia Pike Animal Hospital. While the cost was no easy pill to swallow, she was seen promptly (quoted a 2-4 hour wait over the phone) and a diagnosis was made with a plan of care in a timely manner. Her doctor’s were compassionate and thorough. Appreciate their care and recommendations for my dog. Would recommend this location for animal emergency and prevention. Hopefully we won’t need to return anytime soon 🀞

I was able to get an appointment next day when I called for my new puppy. Decent amount of parking. Waiting room is open with benches. Check in was fairly easy. Nurse assistants come out and talk to you to get the history and then take your dog back to the exam room. My dog was fairly scared so he carried her. The exam didn't take long. Dr. Barnett came out and spoke with me and she was so nice and friendly. She was thorough and was really easy to talk to. Pharmacy is right there as well so it's very convenient. I didn't have pretty insurance and the exam and one dose of each the 1 month and 6 month heartworm preventative was around $100. I definitely recommend!

I brought my young cat in after a bite wound from a neighbor's cat became infected. After having the wound drained and cleaned and antibiotics administered, the wound refused to heal, and over many weeks and multiple visits, the amazing vets at Columbia Pike worked tirelessly to find and solve the root issue, communicating all treatment options, costs, and home care. I even took my cat to my hometown vet for a second opinion, and they confirmed that everything the columbia pike vets recommended/attempted was best practice and fair pricing. Although it was a long, stressful, and unavoidably expensive process, Columbia Pike was able to solve the root of the issue and saved my cat's life while being communicative, flexible, and attentive.
