Nearly a One Stop health shopping and when specialists are connected under the same umbrella ... it simplifies referrals. Lab is on site without appointments, along with a pharmacy if you don't have one. Staff & doctors meet you with courteous manners & nurse practitioners are attentive to issues. The facilities (including restrooms) are always clean.

I was a patient at Lo Cicero Medical Group for at least a decade and half, so my most recent experience with them is very disappointing. I submitted a formal, written complaint concerning one of the men in the scheduling office and I am being ignored, despite the importance of my grievance. While I choose to refrain from using the employee's name that is in question (or to go into great detail), I hope that for the sake of other patients, this employee's behavior does not continue to serve in the same reckless manner that it did with me. He is instrumental in the practice, and in my experience, it is being run in a way that should cause its leaders to be embarrassed. Management doesn't care. If they did they would have honored my request that they respond to a detailed grievance, not by phone, but through written communication. They neglected to do so-even after three follow-up emails on my part. In conclusion, I found a new doctor's office where "anything goes" is not the theme. Lo Cicero Medical Group should be ashamed of itself, and alarmed by their staffing choice. I have not experienced anything like it in my lifetime, nor do I care to ever again.

I had my first appointment with Elizabeth Straka today at the Brandon office and I am extremely pleased. The office was clean, the staff was pleasant and the check in process was easy. New patient paperwork is completed on paper but was not cumbersome. Ms. Straka was very personable and knowledgeable. She did not rush me through the appointment and generally made me feel like she cared about my well-being. I loved the environment and people. The entire process from making the appointment to getting my prescriptions refilled was all very easy and efficient. Great experience overall and I highly recommend.

The office staff ruins this place. I went for a year. The wait times were getting close to an hour despite being told to come early. I was a little irritated, but I stuck it out every time. The second to last time I went there I was told I had to pay $80 for a copay. I had ALWAYS paid $20 per visit and my insurance didn't change. The lady tried to act like I couldn't afford the appointment. I'm just not paying for good insurance if I can't use it and overpaying for a service. After a 40 minute, intense struggle of a conversation (that was keeping me from my appointment), they agreed to charge the $20 warning me if I was wrong they'd send the bill for the rest. I was livid. I ended up calling the billing line (the same one they supposedly used to verify) and the lady was shocked. She said my copay was $20 and they didn't know what they were saying. I asked her to leave a note so the next time I went it wasn't an issue. The last time I went the lady I dealt with peaked above her computer at me, whispered to another office lady and giggled. I finally got called up to the counter by staff and magically - $20 copay. The lady stopped smiling as soon as the amount was read. This is on top of never being able to get ahold of the front office on the phone. If you want to waste your time arguing over payments and waiting on hold be my guest. My doctor was amazing and I appreciate her, but I just can't return after this experience.

Questions & Answers

Why doesn't Locicero Medical Group care about their clients wellbeing?

I honestly find that unheard of. I've been with this group for over 25 yrs and have always received the upmost care. Not only medically but emotionally. Perhaps you need to be more specific on the Dr. you are referring to as they do rent out office space to physician's.

What medicare group are they with?

They pretty much take the majority of plans. Dr. Locicero had been my Dr. for over 18 yrs. She has multiple other specialists in her practice. You'll need to call to verify whether or not she takes your plan. She's now open 7 days a week as well.
