I’ve been a member of Massage Envy for over a year. I recently cancelled my membership since they increased rates and had a few credits left. When my appointment time came I got a call that the therapist was sick and I had to reschedule to the date that my membership expired since that was the only availability. I got Covid the day before and called to either reschedule, transfer my appointment to someone else or get a refund. They said I couldn’t do any of those options and would just lose my $60 massage appointment. Very disappointing and I would never refer them to anyone looking for a massage company with high integrity. There are a lot of massage companies and Massage Envy traps you with the small print and is unwilling to work with you to make sure you have a satisfied customer experience.

Today I had an appointment at 4:00 for a deep tissue, 90 minute massage. 15 minutes before my appointment, as I was driving there and almost on site, Massage Envy called to let me know that my therapist was not available for my appointment. They could offer me a 90 minute massage with another therapist however it would not be deep tissue. So I had two options at that point. I can have a 90 minute massage with another therapist who does not do deep tissue. And be charged for the full 90 minutes, or I can turn around and drive home. I left my house at 3:35 today for my massage, returning at 4:25 with no massage. The manager (who never came on the phone for the entire 16 minutes that the call lasted for) told the receptionist that I would be charged the full 90 minutes despite it being with a therapist that does not do deep tissue. And would charge me the full 90 minute regardless of them canceling 15 minutes before my appointment. My last massage I had scheduled was canceled that day because my massage therapist called in sick. It takes almost 2 weeks to get on the schedule with a deep tissue therapist. And now to have it canceled with my scheduled therapist two times in a row, and this time 15 MINUTES before my appointment is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I would highly not recommend Massage Envy.

Meh. They probably need to hire a call center to manage all of their membership sales. Three ladies in the reception area answering calls and pressing for membership sales. Kind of stressful atmosphere when you’re coming in to relax. Massage therapist was OK, kind of what I expected for a chain massage shop. It was very clean and comfortable but massage therapist seemed a little stressed fitting everyone in. Once again did not add to the relaxing vibe I was going for getting a massage.

Brittany at reception was so sweet, professional and helpful! We had a great experience all the way around. Farrah did my massage and the second she started I knew she had a ton of experience. This was one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time.
