Being able to experience glass blowing up close and personal is probably one of the coolest things I’ve watched to date! This is your sign to go if you haven’t or are debating. We originally went to see the Chihuly Collection across the street and discovered you can attend the free glass blowing demo with the admission ticket. And they have demos every hour on the hour so it was easy and obvious to go. There were two glass blowers in the demonstration- one doing the actual heavy lifting and the other explaining what was going on. Glass blowing is an entire art of its own and it’s so fascinating. I thought they did a great job educating the crowd on different methods and why you do things certain ways. You can then shop around and purchase other glass pieces made by the very glass blowers who were in the demo. It’s really such a cool operation and I’m really glad I accidentally stumbled upon it. It’s so different from most experiences you could find.

The glass blowing demo was included in the Chihuly museum tickets. Very cool to see the guys work. Really made me appreciate Chihuly’s work. The little shop upfront had some pretty interesting pieces for purchase.

Pretty cool glass work, but definitely on the pricier side. It's great for almost treating like a gallery to see some unique glass pieces. It's really neat to know that it is locally made because some of the sculptures created are ridiculously done by some talented folks! Be careful though because if you break something you're liable to pay for it. They also do glass blowing demos on the hour. If you purchase admission to Chihuly Collection around the corner, you get this for free and access to the Morean Art Gallery as well!

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the creation of such beautiful art in glass. I only wish I had seen the demonstration before I went to see the Chihuly Collection, it added a whole new perspective of what goes into the creation of these works of glass art. Highly recommended!

You don’t need a reservation but usually you can attend a demonstration by purchasing a ticket for the Chihuly Exhibit. There are demonstrations every hour so plenty to choose from too
They do have regularly scheduled times in the hot shop at the side of the building. Hourly, I believe. Bleachers are set up so there is plenty of room to sit, watch their work while they explain the intricacies of glass blowing.
