This pkace was quite small but still beautiful. I had my 2 kids plus a friend and her nephew ages from 9 to 15 and they enjoyed it as well. Art is such a beautiful thing!! We absolutely love everything about museum's. They had a gift shop at the entrance and some displays were very interesting!!

A very nice collection of Chihuly's work. In some ways I expected more, but the works that were there were great. A guide was eager to tell the story behind the works, and there was a nice glass blowing demonstration across the street. A gift shop had works from other gifted local glass blowers for sale.

Dale Chihuly is a legend. Some artists are just elite in their own rights. Chihuly is one of these when it comes to glass art, holy cow. I absolutely love seeing Chihuly art in museums, so there being a whole collection of just his art in St. Pete is fated destiny (double duty, I know). It’s pretty much as awesome as you’d imagine, though it’s definitely a smaller exhibit which is the only disappointing part. You’d really have to drag out the better part of an hour to make it a long visit. But the pieces that are included here are still well worth seeing, and the admission is cheaper than a lot of the museums nearby. Plus, you don’t usually have to reserve a time slot really ahead of time. There’s also another fun addition to admission to the collection: you can go across the street to the Morean Arts Center and watch a free glass glowing demo!! Tom, who was working the collection when we went told us all about it and was so awesome. Watching glass blowers craft their work right in front of your eyes is such a neat and unusual experience. The Chihuly exhibit is a magical, colorful walk of brilliance. It makes for such a fun mini afternoon!

As other people had pointed out, this is a small gallery and there are too few pieces to see. The admission is steep and includes a 30-min glass blowing demo across the street. But I still don't think it's worth the price. If you happen to be in the area and have nothing else better to do, then it's okay to visit, but doesn't worth a special trip. The Chihuly gallery in Seattle is much more elaborate than this one.

I think $20 a person.they do a one hour display making a nice glad serving platter. If you look up tampà city pass they offer 5 destinations including chihuly. For 1/2 pice
If not so busy, yes cause pathways could narrow by crowd. While you are in St. Pete, the Dali Museum also fantastic place.
If you get there early, there is street parking that is free. My suggestion is, go early, grab a fantastic breakfast across the street, sorry I can't remember the name of the place, enjoy the museum, then take advantage of the free glass demo across the street. It really is worth the time!
Please check on the museum website. I was just visiting the museum. If they are open, I recommend visiting
Check out wayland apartment for stays including your pet.
18 but there are lower prices for children and vets
And if you miss the show you can return the following day for it. Or that was their policy as of a few weeks ago.
I don’t think so, I think the $5 Sunday is only for the Imagine Glass museum down the street.
It's on street parking. No meters but has a limit. It's worth the admission price several times over.
God bless you! I understand that it does not pass the adult ticket of some $ 19 or $ 20. What happens is that when I went to St. Petersburg I took advantage of an offer called City Pass that costs only $ 120.00 and has the ticket for 5 parks, which includes this well-known Factory of exotic crystals.
Always available
I'm sure times are different during the holidays! Call them up.
They do discounts for groups over 10. You can submit your specifications of the group and they will send you a personal discount. Things to consider is that they need to know how many people you have and how long you plan to spend.
1 1/2 hour
Passes can be checked out from the Pinellas County Library Cooperative. I think it's a family four pack.
Yes they do they actually encourage it. I was going to add a picture but I can't figure out how to do it.
Only discount I'm awarevof is the Sr discounted admission, which is $17 vs regular price od $20.
All under roof. Museum is indoors. Hot shop (live demonstration) across the street is under roof, inside chain link fencing.
$19.95 adult, $17.95 senior (65+), $12.95 student, 5 and under are ( but this is NOT a place for children- all of the displays are within toddler reach!). And it's worth every penny, especially when you include The Hot Shop with your visit, which is free.
There are Chihuly workshop pieces for sale, and the Morean Hot Shop has their own store around the corner.
It is the same any day of the week
It's on permanent display at that location. From the website: "The CHIHULY COLLECTION is a stunning, permanent collection of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly’s unique artwork. This presentation is unique as it is the first installation of Chihuly art in a building designed specifically for that purpose. Designed so that the art and architecture work together to create a visitor experience unlike any other exhibition of Chihuly’s art."
