This is the best library! Great for kids, huge selection of books, so many wonderful activities, love the staff & volunteers! ❤️

For years we have enjoyed this library. It is always very clean & such helpful staff. The newer building offers so much more. Our family goes weekly. I was thankful that they can order from other libraries for free if they don’t have what we need.

A lot more open space than the original library. The librarians are always so sweet and helpful, making it a pleasure to be there.

I'm in love with the beautiful librarians! They're really professional and are extremely proficient at their job. I like that librarian who is always smiling. Her smile drives me nuts. The library is fantastic and is a good place to read a book at or browse the Internet. 😊

Is Wasilla library connected to any online ?
they Do NOT NOT that I know of
Yes
It's just the library scedule. If your a really sketchy person they might ask you to leave, but if you mean for he computers it's so others can use them. Wasilla Middle School students walk down there and a lot of them use the computers.
We do keep a current copy of the Alaska State Statutes. These are reference books, so while you are welcome to use them in the library as much as you want, they are not able to be taken from the Library building. We do have a copier available for customer and charge 15 cents per page.
Yes, we are part of the Alaska Library Catalog.
Thank you for your question! There are 20 desktop computers and 23 laptops available for in-house use (anyone is able to use a desktop computer, customers must have a library card in good standing in order to use a laptop). Limits are 2 hours, per person, per day.
10:30am - 6:00pm!
Hello! We do require volunteers to be at least 14 years of age - here's a link for more information on volunteering at the Library - https://www.cityofwasilla.com/departments/library/about-the-library/volunteer-information

Hi! So, if you have a library card, you can use that login to the wifi; if you do not have a card, just ask for guest pass at the front desk. There's also a 'guide to getting online' at the front desk which has step-by-step instructions. Thanks for the question!
Fill out the online form here: https://www.cityofwasilla.com/departments/library/mprrequest. Please note that requests need to be made at least 7 days in advance, and rentals only occur during the hours the library is open to the public. In regards to the small "fishbowl" group study rooms, those are first come, first serve, no reservations but we do ask everyone to limit their time to no more than two hours so that everyone who would like to has a chance to use them. Thanks for your question!
yes they do
Hi! Here's how to renew materials online: Can I renew my library materials online? Yes. Log on to the “My Account” area of the library catalog (https://jlc-web.uaa.alaska.edu/client/en_US/wasilla/) What is my “PIN” number? When you get a library card, your PIN (or personal identification number) is assigned as the last four digits of your phone number. You will need this number in addition to your library barcode number to sign on the library catalog.
