Yes. Labor Day is an official County holiday and all Lee County Library System Libraries will be closed for Labor Day. We have regular hours on Saturday, however.

None of the Lee County Library System libraries offers a pay phone or courtesy phone for the public to use.

On the left side under the red Lee County Library System banner, Programs and Events is the 5th item listed. Once on the calendar you can limit to the branch or see what we have to offer everywhere. When you click on an event in the calendar, the description will provide you with additional information as well as registration information, if applicable. Lee County Library System Library cards are renewed in person every two years at any of our branches. Library cards are not renewable by phone or online. If your ID has a Lee County address on it, that is all we need to renew your card. If you have an ID without a Lee County address on it, then we will ask for some other documentation that you live, work, go to school, or own property or a business in Lee County + your ID that shows you are the person names on such documentation. Yes, all branches, including Lakes Regional have reopened to the public and we resumed public computer access at the same time.

Non-residents may obtain a library card for a fee: Non-residents must show identification and apply for a card in person. Library card applications cannot be submitted by fax or through the mail. Two types of cards are available: Visitor Card — $15 (valid for three months) Additional consecutive months can be purchased for $5 each Non-resident Card — $60 (valid for one year)

All libraries will be open regular hours on December 30, 2019. The official County holiday dates are December 31 and January 1, 2020.

We do not offer English classes. We have a language learning product (available free through our website with a valid library card) called Mango Languages and English is one of the languages offered. Lakes Regional Library hosts a regular meeting called, English Café, which is a 90-minute session that provides an opportunity to practice speaking English with native speakers, but it does not teach English. We have public computers with the ability to print. Printing is $.10 per page for black and white and $1.00 per page for color. The print release station requires cash/coin and will not accept credit/debit cards nor can the cost be placed onto your library account.
