Visited while hiking up the remains of the Mt Washington Incline, of which the old hotel is now the administrative building. The views are absolutely spectacular, everyone is very friendly as long as one respects the space, and the grounds look gorgeous. Somehow the minute I entered the space I suddenly was hit with this wonderful feeling of calmness. It was almost like someone flipped a switch. I ended up spending more time than I expected to just sitting within the gardens, absolutely wonderful. Plus the history is neat too. Do note though that if one plans to walk up to it, the sidewalks along Mt Washington Drive are slanted to the hill in such a way that someone in a wheelchair or other mobility device will have major difficulties. If possible have someone bring you up to the fellowship. Totally Wonderful and I will return

A beautiful place and environment. Very peaceful and a great place for meditation. Very friendly staffs. Would like to say thank you to Karisma the receptionist and sister Nirmala for their wonderful service and kind gestures. Would certainly go back for peace. Anyone needing sometime on their own, this center certainly is a best place to go to. Their parks/ gardens are very well maintained and is a serene place in nature.

Inspiring to see such a serene place! Gorgeous views, calm people... I had a chat with a monk who lives there, very kind and helpful. I wish the temple would be open for guests all week.

Easter Sunday Services at Lake Shrine Sunday April 1st 8:00am & 11am All are welcome to Lake Shrine’s yearly Easter celebration as we honor the many miracles of Christ’s resurrection. Two services will be offered, complete with the Lake Shrine Temple Singers and prasad (appetizers and beverages) following each service). Additionally, during both services, there will be a special devotional service for children, followed by a traditional Easter Egg Hunt
You need to call the office and ask.!
The lake shine is a lot nicer but the public areas have an amazing view of LA. As for their gardens, the lake shrine is the best, Encinitas a solid #2. This one a disappointing distant 3rd
Yes, most likely they do. Just visit the Toronto Centre and check their bookstore.
