The tour was directed by an individual in period costume. Tour is extensive and worth the price of admission. Parking is readily available

I was disappointed that they talked primarily of the Buchanan family and very little about the house. I suppose that was because the Buchanan family did not build the house but only bought it from the Jenkins family. The tour was not very long and was abbreviated because neither the third floor nor basement were included. I probably wouldn’t have done the tour if I knew it was all about the family and not the house.

Such a wonderful experience! A lot of history in Lancaster, PA to discover. The grounds are so beautiful, and the tour is packed full of information.

Excellent tour by an excellent docent! I was the only one on my tour so I got to learn a lot. Beautiful house and grounds and a lot of interesting history about a not super well-known president. Would also recommend the local history exhibits in the visitors center. They're included with admission and are really interesting

We found the movie and it’s discussion of homosexuality very inappropriate for children.
Hi Lucia: There are two entrances that are available: 230 North President Avenue and 1120 Marietta Avenue. We've made a helpful map that is available on our website about where to enter and where to drop off a group. Since we cannot post a URL, it is on our main website under the "Visit" main menu option and then select "Group & Bus Tours."
We went on a holiday weekend and I'm very glad we had advanced reservations
It was a wonderful tour. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
There is but he doesn't say anything. The place is nice but Buchanan wasn't interesting in real life so it's fitting he doesn't say anything in the house.
I know that there are specific paid tour times, which allows entrance into the house for that time only. Gift shop & grounds are open to the public without fee as I recall...
There's a parking lot on site.
