If you are looking for a church home, then Academy Cathedral is the place to be. Upon arrival you are greeted with hugs and a warm smile. The preachers teach I'm such a way kids even understand, but they also have a children's church is just as amazing.

The Academy Cathedral was built in 1939 as a Theater to host the academy awards, but it never did. It was designed by famed architect S. Charles Lee he was an American architect recognized as one of the most prolific and distinguished motion picture theater designers on the West Coast. Lee is the principal designer of motion picture theaters in Los Angeles during the 1930s and 1940s. He is credited with designing over 400 theaters throughout California and Mexico. It is a great church as well as a great piece of architectural and Los Angeles history.
