We have loved coming here for years now. Today was the second time within two months we came here to celebrate another family birthday. I am sadly disappointed. Starting off, there were at least 5 items we asked for. All received a "No, we don't have that today". We were literally the first group to be seated as soon as the restaurant opened. How are you out of those items already? I can understand if maybe it was two hours into operating hours, but not right as you open. As dinner continued, we also asked for some more sushi ginger as well as the red ginger. To the red ginger request, we were told "we don't have that". We just finished Okonomiyaki & there was a little bit of red ginger left on the plate. How can you tell us you do not have any red ginger when it was right on that plate? So clearly that was not true. Please see attached photo. As for the sushi ginger, we were never charged for it all the other times we came. If it is a new thing here, a courtesy advisement of there being a charge for it would have been fine with us. Thinking back, I do not believe we were ever charged for any ginger at any of the other Japanese restaurants we have dined at. Maybe our waitress was overwhelmed by the number of tables she was assigned so she just said no to things she was not sure of instead of checking. Or maybe there were changes made since two months ago when we were last here. Either way, great customer service and communication is key. It can be the difference between more return visits or losing out on loyal customers over simple, but important things that "make it or break it". True. The food was very good, but the issues today (especially since we were celebrating my daughter's birthday), kind of left a "bad taste in my mouth". I am not sure if we will be back to this particular location.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed dining here. My portion of fish and chips was tasty and big. My wife's fish skewer was a great choice. Nothing special about the food, but tasty and good value for money. We appreciate kosher cooks, ready from scratch, and look forward to our next visit.

If you want to eat authentic Japanese foods, try to go Honda-ya. You can feel what the Japanese food is in here. 5 kind mixed Sashimi & Sashimi bawl were good. However, Shoyu ramen was really salty.

Had a really lovely date with my husband here! We had a ton of food and the quality of food we had was SUCH a great value. We have already planned what we want to order next time we visit! 10/10🔥 Must try. We loved sitting at the bar and watched the chefs cook.

They have a tent outside.
They require a minimum of 10 people to make a reservation. You can reserve the entire tatami mat room for a full Japanese experience.
Before 5:30 or 6 pm. Put your name on the waiting list. 20 mins wait. Weeknights are less crowded. It is worth to he wait though.
