A huge outdoor area with a large variety of unique and interesting playground equipment. There's a bouldering wall and roller slide. Almost everything is handicap and stroller accessible as well. Keep an eye on your kids as there is a lot of space here for them to roam!

My kids, 7,5,&3, love coming to this park. It has a little bit of everything and clean restrooms! There is a rock climbing wall, a suspension bridge , water fountain, various things to climb on, a boat/water play area for smaller kiddos, two very large play structures, a roller slide, a small hedge maze with a lookout tower, and this rotating/spinning play structure that is like a crazy and modern take on a merry-go-round. There are also a few swings. Beyond the playground itself, there is a small pond with paddle boats for rental, picnic tables, and a small skate park. The entire playground area is fenced with only 1 gate for entrance and exit. This definitely helps ease anxiety for those with a runner or multiple kids since it helps to keep them contained. Majority of the play area is covered with mulch with the exception being some of the areas around the actual play structures and slides. Mainly the areas where a more traumatic fall would occur, there is the rubbery, flat material. There is a decent amount of parking but only a small bike rack. I imagine parking may be harder when there is a ball game happening at the attached ball field. However, there would most likely be plenty of street parking. Overall a wonderful playground for all ages.

Great place to let your children run wild and stay within a gated proximity to your view. The environment is clean and has restroom attention. It's located on the main streets of Monterey and easily accessible to your time constraints.

My son loves this park . It really a nice place for the parents to take the kids they have bathrooms as soon as you enter the park that are very clean and they even have a food stand next to the park in front of a baseball field . With some good fries and corn dogs. They have plenty of parking around the park so for the most part u shouldn't have a issue finding one.

Not when I was there..
I park near there a few times a week to walk my dog and I have yet to see it opened. I have however seen the skate park opened.
You can fish off the El Estereo Park. Its right next to the Dennis Menace park and they also have a few piers a block a way to fish off of into the Ocean don't forget your fishing permit. Monterey County requirements.
Last I saw the park was closed. This was like last week
Not sure . Mystery.
Climbing all over the real train there used to be popular from what the locals tell me but someone got hurt and they sued so is now closed off from the public
The small boats are around $25 for 30 mins. The larger, swan boats are I believe $40. Both include life jackets for your party.
