Was told to bring back a specific printed email to confirm my registration. When I came back, they told me that wasn't good enough. Complete waste of my day. The manager seriously needs to work on her people skills if this is seriously her line of work.

I got there early (when they opened at 8am) and got right in. It's a beautiful open area floor and very friendly staff. Honestly I was surprised at the floor layout, it was very easy to navigate. Everyone was efficient and personable and gave very clear instructions. Definitely 5 stars, I highly recommend this place.

Lady at the front door this day (not sure if it changes) was very friendly and incredibly helpful. I would have been lost without her assistance, it is greatly appreciated! Wait times weren't very long for a Friday either

It can be up to 10 minutes or 2 hours depends
Why wouldn’t you put your address
You don't need to make an appointment for a license application, however I would highly recommend making an appointment. Plus, it's free!
Make appointment
I applied for a new id on June 7th 2021 and I have not received my new id as of yet? What do I do?
You could do it online at the DMV site....
Drivers license renewal is $39
If you don't have one you'll need passport or birth certificate or some other formal ID.
Yes walk-in is okay best to get there before they open in the morning so you can be there first
Call or go into office. My husband goes in.
I didn't see a drop box? But they might roll it out at closing, so I don't know for sure, sorry 😐
I found out, if your just changing your address, you don't have to stand in line, you get screened for covid-19, and fill out your change of address form and your done.
Yes
I would advise you to go in person and check with a dmv worker. Show them your payment info that you made and if you got emails(confirmations, ect) then show them that as well. Or you can try contacting them on DMV chat, however imo go in person to get the best help. Hope this helps.
Proof of address and birth certificate
Yes
Well Just show up and at the door they give you instructions that what you have to do
Average wait time is going to be something like 3 hours. Either show up early in the morning, or make an appointment for a later date. Also, AAA can do most DMV things if you are a AAA member.
All services available
Go onto the California DMV website and they'll have you start the application, which saves time. He might still have to visit the DMV office, but the details and documents needed should all be listed in the online application. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/driver-licenses-identification-cards/replace-your-driver-license-or-identification-dl-id-card/
Yes but you can't go on the test
Sorry can't help you with that
Lompoc is open for original testing ;you have to wait in line. If you're retesting and haven't failed three times yet then you can come into the front of the line. Just let the person at the front door know you are retesting.
Took my wife in at 7 am with a lawn chair coffee and a donut. We got to hang out together for Awhile. When DMV opened she was 2nd in line. I've had worse days
37 dollars
Required two signatures
Put in an application online and head down to the dmv. It costs $37 and you may need to take a knowledge test to make sure you understand California laws. There's plenty of practice tests online if you need to make sure you're confident with that, just Google "dmv written permit test practice" and it should be the same thing. Good luck!
They do take walk ins for most things. I do not believe they take walk ins for drivers exams. Not sure why they would be closed the 31st, they are open on Fridays though. I'd call in a few days beforehand to check. I would recommend going later in the day, around 3 - 4 because the lines aren't as long compared to 12 - 1, but keep in mind they do not allow you to do tests (such as the written test) past 4pm. Wednesdays are overall the best days to go though.
The DMV is all one agency. The rules don't change from office to office. San Luis is where they send revocations due to health factors, commercial violations and other special considerations. You should request to speak to a supervisor in Lompoc and have your paperwork from your San Luis Obispo regional office visit handy.
If don't need a new card to be mailed all you have to do is do a change of address either online or print one out off the website and mail it. it will automatically be updated.
No
Written test will still be required, but you don't have to take the driving test if your current license is still valid.
Well, just as long as you say you have only been here less than 10 days

Yes
This office is very helpful not your average dmv walk in and ask help desk. County wont matter dmv tickets etc is state
No, your driver licence is good
The application must now be filled out electronically. There are computers at the field office where you can complete the application.
For your records take a picture of the release information send it to your email, and then walk in to the DMV to give them the release.. that way you are not responsible for it anymore...
You are signed into his account on Google you need to go into your settings and log out of his Google account and set it up to your own it should be located in settings under accounts. Also you should realize that in the Google play store and all Google apps except for email you are also signed into his account automatically so when you change the account it will change it for all of your other Google apps as well. Good luck
You fill out paperwork for a duplicate title and check box that says destroyed you will need information like your vin number license plate ect i think the fee is 15 have a great day
