I have great experience with Goleta DMV every-time; this is my 3rd renewal of my DL. Quick suggestion: book an appointment in advance which is normally available. In that way you will be in fast lane.

Bad communication skills here and they have issues that have been around for years that could resolve people's frustrations and the time they spend in the building 1 star

Very nice staff. Courteous and by the book. Today was my son's second driving test try , he did well/pass. The office is fresh, clean and nicely furnished. If you don't pass, conveniently, there is a USMC Recruiting Center next door, they'd fix anything and get you to drive a tank instead.

Every time I've been here I've been out in under an hour. Everyone I've interacted with is highly competent, and really good at their job. Its still a DMV and they need to be thorough so don't expect instant times. If you don't know what forms you need, they'll walk you through exactly what you need before you have to get a ticket number so you don't have to wait just to be rejected.

too early, you must wait until March to make an appointment in June
Any DMV in California
no. Walk ins are welcome wait times usually are 30 to 45 minutes
Information is available on the California DMV website.
How much is an I'D? Is there a special number to call to set up an appointment? My drivers license is still active, however, I fly domestically and want this I'D soon?
Yes, any DMV office
Online is the best way
Goleta DMV is not very occupied. One can get appointment for written tests very next day.
You can walk in early in the morning around 7am to the DMV or go to dmv.ca.gov to schedule an appointment. You have to select need service advisor, cannot do the renewal online etc to be able to book an appointment. It's not a directly visible option.
Make an appointment for my real ID.
I had the same problem last Friday. Not having an appointment, I got to stand in line for about an hour to get a number, then almost another hour before I was out of the office. Other people got ahead of me with appointments even though I couldn't get one for Real ID on their website (perhaps there's an "other" option?). I did all the paperwork upload and verification online. Express experience didn't live up to its name, and the wait times on their website are misleading as it doesn't count the time before you get a number. I wish you better luck!
Call
Yes, if you are applying for a Real ID license or if you want a new license you have to visit the office changing your address will update your information in your record but won't send you a new driver license
Only walk ins at this moment.
You should be able to do it online. Download the CA DMV app from your play store. Click on Online Services. Then, click on More Online Services. Scroll down to Request Your Drivers Record.
They are taking walk ins now.
If you do a walk-in appointment it will probably take around 2 hours because of COVID and more if it's busy. If you submit your documents online and set up a scheduled appointment it will be faster.
🤣 Google will not send u a new license, visit dmv.ca.gov
visit dmv.ca.gov for drive test appointments
They don't make appointments now, but they do accept walk-ins. Just come in between 8am and 4pm, and they'll help you. The wait time varies, and can be from 30 minutes to over 2 hours. Make sure you have all the documents you need. If you didn't fill out the online application they'll let you do that on site
Yes, M-F 8 -5
You actually can go down and do it personally without an appointment. Been there the last two days doing different DMV work and less than an hour
Its faster to go to the dmv office, there is not a lot of people
You can apply in person, fill out reg 227 pink form $22 for duplicate title title will be mailed to you !
Search for your appointment in this page - https://www.dmv.ca.gov/wasapp/foa/viewCancel.do and then re-schedule it. There will be a button at the bottom of the page.
Search by your name for your current appointment in the DMV website and there it provides option to re-schedule.
You can make an address change from the website. there is no need to visit the office
$22 and you need to fill out reg227 form
you can only make an appointment with DMV 60 days before. Must wait until July to make September appointments
file an affidavit online. no need to visit the office

Online by visiting dmv.ca.gov
No
yes, you need the title signed by the bank if not Reg 227 form you need to fill. Make an appointment
Don't know about back log I'd say probably. But more likely your license is lost in the system some where. They should have tracking numbers for some if these serviced. Think how much time that would sayr. You need to go in there and get to it. Just go to the head if the line and tell them that you called and the person told you to go to the front of the line because all they had to do was run a trace
No. You can walk in, but the wait could be long; however, appointments aren't usually available for a couple months.
Don't think so, but you can use the printed paper temporary permit to drive until the new one comes in the mail. I also carry the old expired license with me until the new one comes so I have someone of photo ID in the interim.
Go to dmv.ca.gov and select web services and select appointments. DMV is so busy right now that there may no be appts. available for May. You may have to walk in.
No
visit your closest DMV for instructions
If you have a work permit and Mexican passport and two proof of residency like insurance bill and phone bill.
You can walk in without an appointment. You'll have to wait, but if you pick a time when their not too busy it won't take hours.
Use your unique license number on the DMV yo check the appointment status
no all drive tests need to have an appointment
I think you could walk in for the written test but I believe the driving test it by appointment only but don't "me on it
