Awesome facility and super helpful staff. Got there later than I should have the first night and got lost trying to find my unit. Ended up there after hours and got a warning call the next day so plan accordingly! Other than that no issues. Would definitely store here again!

Kat & Tanya went above and beyond. They were both very helpful from start to finish. I received emails and updated phone calls regarding my unit and they were very transparent throughout the entire process. The app works perfectly and Tanya showed me how to navigate through it to access our unit digitally. Upon moving out Kat came by to check on me and provided extra assistance to ensure my move went smooth. She’s the best! They were able to provide this level of service while working in a temporary office outside in the summer heat! They are honestly the best staff in the business.

The Extra Space Storage facility in Cerritos is kept very clean and is air conditioned (which is a huge bonus when moving during the warmer months). The employees are friendly and accommodating while also being respectful of the customer's privacy. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for that "extra space" to store their personal items whether it be for a few months to a few years.

Many years ago this facility was previously owned by Storage Solutions. At that time it was a Class A facility, very well maintained, clean, and with excellent customer service. Unfortunately Storage Solutions and many other small to mid sized storage companies were bought out by Extra Space Storage thereby creating a monopoly. The business and professional standards of these facilities have drastically fallen since Extra Space Storage acquired these facilities. Extra Storage Space has no regard for their customers. For example the bathrooms at the front entry to the main facility when owned by Storage Solutions were always clean and designated for customers; however when Extra Storage Space acquired the facility they put up a big sign stating that the bathrooms are now for "staff only" and they require their customers who need to use the restroom facilities to walk "more than a football field in length" to the back of the structure to use the restrooms at the back exit near the large garbage containers. There is a strong message for existing customers and prospective clients which is "Extra Storage Space does not value their existing or prospective clients they want your money only." Strike#1 Strike #2: Extra Storage Space never clean the toilets as you can see from the photos attached. Strike #3: The facilities use to be very clean when owned by Storage Solutions and when you entered the building it smelled clean, not anymore now that Extra Storage Space owns these buildings. Strike #4: Storage Solutions always had plenty of dollys and hand trucks available to assist their customers move in and out of the facility located near the elevator 24 hours a day. Extra Storage Space has all but revoked this, they have very limited dollys which they now keep inside their office, you now have to give them your license and if you don't get back to the main office before 6pm you are screwed because you don't get your license back and you can't drive home. Strike #5: This building is air conditioned with climate control. It was always nice and cool when Storage Solutions owned it. Extra Storage Space intentionally elects not to run the air conditioning. Strike #6: Extra Storage Space staff lack social skills. When I entered the office a young lady by the name of Catherine was there she could not be bothered to say hello when I entered the office. Strike #7: This storage facility use to be 24 hour access. Since Extra Storage took ownership the hours are now restricted. Extra Storage is a monopoly, it provides substantially less service, and dramatically increases rates annually. If you can find others choses other than Extra Space Storage I would highly recommend that you select a different company.
