My husband and I are so thankful for the UCI Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and specifically Dr. Rao who has provided his eye care for about 6 years. She’s always pleasant, we never feel rushed and she takes time to answer our questions. She also explains things in a way we can understand. During our recent visit the medical assistant showed great patience and was very helpful with my wheelchair bound husband. We’re also thankful for the new valet parking service! They were a tremendous help in unloading and loading the wheelchair without my asking for assistance. That touched my heart because it showed they cared enough to help me. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for my husband’s ophthalmology care.

Rarely does one sees a doctor so dedicated to making her patients feel cared for. Dr. Kim took her time to thoroughly examine my eyes, explained my diagnosis in detail, and provided me with an array of options. She even went as far as searching online for alternative products for my condition. Dr. Kim is the ultimate professional, knowledgeable, kind, empathetic, and sweet. He has unimaginable talent for explaining some of the most difficult medical subjects in terms that are so easy to, not only understand, but also visualize. I have had some experiences when I have asked the same questions of one of my other doctors at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and their answer didn't resonate with me so I asked Dr. Crow and I felt like he opened a new beautiful world for me.
