The staff has been professional, thorough and timely both times we have needed their assistance. Everyone was respectful and had a great bedside manner. As a medical provider myself I will not hesitate to come here again if emergency services are needed for our family.

I really feel like they should just start from scratch and train everyone again as far as the staff. No one answers the phones! Sometimes you will wait an hour or so for someone to answer. They encourage you to send messages via the genesis portal but they don’t respond. It makes me really second guess putting my and my family’s lives in their hands. They ordered some MRIs for me and they could not request them from the other hospital so I had to pick them up and drive to Camp Pendleton to drop them off and when I did the lady at the front desk told me their machine was broke and they couldn’t scan the discs. She told me I should drive back later to see if the machine had been fixed. I told her that I don’t like near the hospital so she kept my discs. A week later I still have no results from them.. I am at a loss.

I have never had a more disgusting ED visit. I took my child in twice for vomiting and other gi problems. Pendleton doctors and nurses were very rude and extremely dismissive of my concerns. Telling me labs weren’t Necessary for him because “nothing about his exam warranted any labs”… except for maybe the unexplained vomiting that had been going on for a week straight. I won’t ever take my children here again because it’s obvious they have zero regard for actual patient care and their only priority is pushing patients through as quick and they can. Seriously disappointed. NHCP needs to do better.

I would like to thank the family medicine department especially Dr Matthews and Dr Dizon. They are so professional in dealing with health issues. I want to thank them for the care they show and especially the empathy that is displayed which is very genuine. I am glad that these doctors are around and helping many more people and family medicine. Five stars all around

Depending on the command and what your understanding of "trainee" is. For the navy personnel stationed at the hospital, either temporary or permanent staff, there are no restrictions in communication. If you are referring to a recruit from MCRD, then it may be dependent on what they are being seen for.
There is only limited staff on hand during weekends, mostly to process the emergency department's requests. For normal lab appointments, you will need to visit during normal working hours Mon-Fri (with certain holiday exclusions)
Good question. Not sure but I wouldn't count on it.
