I'm 60 years old and have never complained about a meal. Family of 4 we arrived at 6 pm and got served at 7:35. The picture is of my fish and chips. Cold, greasy soaked french fries. I told the waitress and she gave me $1.40 off my meal. Will not go back and will let everyone know what an utter disappointment.

They always serve delicious food!! Sometimes it can be a wait but the food is well worth the wait! Staff have always been friendly

Just Me

Absolutely horrible!! We went because we came up to visit clearlake. This was amazing place to eat a few years ago it's type of a landmark, it's been her for decades. I left hungry, because I couldn't stand the food. Chicken fried steak was a burnt mess, I've never sent back a salad in my life but I did this time! It's absolutely crazy how the people that currently owned are trying to hold on when they should just shut the doors. There were three races and we were literally the only patrons in the restaurant it should be a very busy time. I understand why now. And turns out as we went somewhere else, someone who has lived here for 50 years explain to us about how great this place once was. When it changed owners a few years ago it's like they're hanging onto a sinking ship, and you can tell. Save your money, frustration in time and just find another place!

I don't live in the area anymore but I highly recommend this place. The best chicken fried steak ever. Add in a side of biscuits and gravy (recipe please!) you've two or three great meals!! Oh and the jalapeño bacon is life changing!
