The company overall is based on a fantastic premise. However, the services offered versus services delivered do not add up. Unless you are on a grant to this company I don't suggest it. If you ARE on a grant then its stupendous. AmericaCorps credits do not transfer properly to help pay for classes. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when they know their jobs. The crew members under each supervisor vary heavily in expertise. Some take the job very seriously, others however will bring the entire crew down with needless drama. There are opportunities to learn new skills and acquire certifications, however depending on the supervisor these certifications are impossible to get. This company is generally an equal-opportunity employer, however if your sexual preference is in question is does not matter. Hazing is rampant within crews, the supervisors do their absolute best to settle these disputes but ignorance is difficult to ignore from some. Mentally handicapped individuals should avoid this company, for the reason you will not be treated fairly by other employees. OCCC will give you great opportunities for growth and development, apply here if other avenues are blocked financially.

Alejandro, that was a long time ago! Anyway, I'm pretty sure we were part of John Muir Charter School Back then. They run several charter schools with the conservation corps in California. We are not affiliated with them anymore but they should still have any transcripts from when we worked with them. Their phone number is (530)272-4008 website is www.johnmuircs.com Thanks and good luck!
