Temporary closed. Probably a cool place to when it's open.

Kelso Depot is a great place to visit in the Mojave Desert. There are amazing cactus surrounding the area driving into the depot, there are mountains surrounding the Kelso Depot area. The Kelso Depot has a parking area and restrooms, which makes this stop convenient if you are visiting the desert.

A nice a refreshing place to see after endless miles miles of desert driving. Lots of cool history here, and the visitors center is free to go through; it’s basically a museum. Good stop for a bathroom and leg stretch break! Worth checking out if passing through!

Beautiful oasis with a pleasant visitor's center as close to the middle of nowhere as one can get on pavement. I was really impressed with how pleasant this place was. Great interpretive exhibits to help you understand the area and the history of the area better and even some food and drink available. Well worth the visit. Much better in wintertime than in the heat of summer. Lots of neat places to visit nearby.

Check for "Hole in the wall campground". It's paved and has paved RV slots and clean restrooms, no hookups and sparse to no shade.
No. There is a train station. Closest stations are in baker or a shell off the 15.
I am not certain.
