I had a nail in my tire sidewall and took it in to get repaired. They said it will need to be replaced because a sidewall cannot be repaired. Additionally, because my car is AWD they told me the entire set will need to be replaced and will cost $1,400+. It was explained to me by a representative that replacing only one tire on an AWD vehicle can cause damage to other areas of the car. I then mentioned that I bought this set of tires from Les Schwab 9 months ago and they should be under warranty. They said they needed to check their records and get back to me. 20 minutes later they called me and said they would replace the single tire at no charge. I asked why we don't need to replace them as a set as they suggested before, and now they said that the tread difference between the new and used tires was negligible. My understanding was that "if it was my responsibility, I'd have to buy 4 new tires, but now, since it is their responsibility, they are only going to replace the single tire". On the phone I asked if they would cover the cost of any damage to the car due to the difference of tires on the AWD vehicle and they agreed. I also confirmed that the single tire replaced under warranty would be replace for zero dollars, and they agreed. The next day, I went to the store to pick up my car and the same representative did not remember a single word from our phone call the day before. He tried to charge me for a portion of the tire that was already "used up" and, in addition, did not remember agreeing to cover the cost of any potential damage in the future due to the difference in tires. Ultimately, he explained that I had nothing to worry about since the tread difference between the tires is negligible. I hope that this is true, but they should not have tried to convince me to buy 4 new tires in the first place before they realized all the tires were covered under their warranty.

I recently went there to repair a tire and they offered a free brake inspection. The told me that me that my front brakes were needing brake calipers and other work, coming to a total of $663.23 my car wasn't acting like any thing was wrong. I went to Brake Master for a second opinion they told me my brake calipers were in excellent condition and that I only need my rotors turned and new brake pads on the front. The completed the job for $158.00 big difference in the $663.23 Les schwab tried to scam me with. I showed Brake Master the price of the estimate and they show me the repairs of what was preformed and the condition of my brake calipers. I was extremely disappointed that Schwab was trying to get me scammed in purchasing work that was totally not needed. Please be worried about not getting a second opinion from using the Temecula local. I have both estimates in hand

I love Les Schwab in Temecula . Today however, was a horrible experience. About a month ago, I scheduled a tire rotation for my 2015 class A RV. I showed up early, signed in, and was given a two hour estimate for the tire rotation and rebalancing of my tires. The counter staff were Great. About a half an hour into the wait, Luis approaches me and says “your tires are too old“. Coincidentally, I just had my oil changed and a pre-trip inspection completed by Automotive Specialties (They are great - ask for Gator). Gator told me that the rig was in great condition and the tires had no cracks and did not show any age. I explained this to Louise and he said “I’m still not doing it”. I am including pics of my tread life & sidewalls. Of course, this happened when the owner/manager Cory was out to lunch. Luis needs a lesson in customer service. Even if he felt it was unsafe (which it wasn’t; claw aA RV tires las 10 years), he could have completed the rotation with a caveat that Les Schwab would not be held responsible. Instead, he was ready, willing & able to replace all 6 tires ($1200-1500). My quote was around $320, which I was willing to pay. Watch out for Luis. Not a good guy.
