Dr. Brett Thomas was not the least bit friendly or compassionate. I got the feeling I flunked,” dog owner”. He was abrupt and dismissive !!! My dogs have been patients over the years. Last year’s appointment with Dr Thomas was my first miserable experience at East Bend Animal Hospital. If it wasn’t for Jamie’s compassion, competence and care I would not go back.

brought my dog in who was diagnosed with a skin infection. When it came time to pay I explained that I didn't have $400 just sitting around and that I needed to make some sort of arrangement. The Polite VA was then replaced by one of the ladies who worked the front desk who aggressively tried to get me to pay the total sum up front, I again explained that I wasn't able then she came back with a short term payment arrangement. She then proceeded to tell me that I was only allowed to leave with one of the three prescriptions that the Vet insisted my dog needed. Now my dog is chewing himself to pieces and the antibiotics (the solo prescription mentioned previously) are barely keeping up. If you have the money or insurance then this place is fine but don't hope for any kindness from the staff.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We recently switched to EBAH a few months ago and the care has been absolutely incredible. All of the staff are kind, caring, and compassionate to their 2 and 4 legged clients! The techs and doctors are amazing at creating a comfortable and positive experience for the animals which is so important for us dedicated pet owners. They treat your pets as their own and you can tell they are extremely invested in your pet’s well being. We see Dr. Jessica and she (and her amazing team!) has alleviated so much stress by providing top notch care for my senior guy. She cares deeply for her patients and it shows. I know every time I bring him in I can relax because I know he is in the best hands with her and her team.

Dr. Brett Thomas was one of the best vets we've worked with. We arrived at East Bend Animal Hospital with 4 ferrets and from receptionist to techs to even the lovely calming exam room.... the whole hospital was so wonderful with them and truly catered to pets. It can be concerning bringing especially an exotic pet to a new vet but Dr. Thomas was SO KNOWLEDGABLE, personable, compassionate and happy to answer our questions and take the time with us. He really knows his stuff and took his time with each pet and to answer ALL OUR QUESTIONS (and we had many.). We didn't feel rushed and truly felt like our ferrets were in the best hands. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend East Bend Animal hospital
