Not sure what the going rate for scrap metal is, but seemed a fair rate. Getting paid and our the yard is much faster after you've been there at least once. Friendly people also.

They like to close at 11 on fridays, I drove an hour to find that out because nobody would answer the phone there. They lost me as a customer

They do not differentiate between army and marine cook wares. As long as its steel/aluminum. They pay by the pound. Definitely won't recycle toupee's, regardless of the adhesion. Only metals. Maybe check with Sally's?
No, it's a metal recycling yard.
Yes
I am very sorry., I don't know how much they gave you for the engine
I don't believe they take appliances. However, The local landfill, (Knot Rd.) Accepts them for a very small fee.
Yes,remove plastic parts
Sure do, anything metal. Damn near...
Drain all fluids have title in hand and put a hole in the fuel tank. And you have to remove the tires as well.
What kind of aluminum?
Non Ferrous checks have to be held for 3 business days from the day you scrapped the material. Then it's placed in the mail. Which means at 6 days it would only be in the mail 3 days. Example: scrapped copper on Monday, check mails Thursday.
