It is a moderately sized terminal with a minimum of stores and restaurants.

It’s a very crowded terminal with very little space to move about in the boarding area. Seating is limited AND you have to crab walk through the isle if you hope to sit down. The chairs are very beat up and old. The carpeted floors are dirty. Lots of food and shop options. Currency exchange and ATM machines are conveniently located. The loud speakers plays advertisements frequently. So annoying. WiFi is free but very limited. Plus, you will have to watch sponsors advertisements if you hope to get free WiFi. Charging plugs are also limited for laptops and cellphones. Cellular service must be blocked. I can only get one bar in this terminal. I came in from New Zealand. After 11 hours of travel, it would be nice to have a little space to relax during the connecting flight.

Depending where you are in Terminal 5, you should see a phone company and ask them if they have a SIM compatible with your phone
My other answer must have deleted. I park at the Aviation station and its $9 for 3 days to park the catch the G Bus shuttle to the airport
It is a satellite terminal for American airlines. You have to take a bus.

No Starbucks in terminal 5. They alternate each terminal between coffee bean and starbucks.
Connection Bus = Blue blues stops at blue sign. South Lot All Terminals = stops at all terminals. G Bus = Stops at all terminals

You have to leave 2 and walk to wing 5. Terminal 7, 6, 5 and 4 are linked, the others like Tom Bradley 3, 2 and 1 are separated
