They lost my luggage on my way to the airport. I had to travel without it. I don’t even know how a suitcase can get lost from the moment it gets tagged until you reach your terminal but they managed to accomplish just that. My emails about this situation are being ignored. Ubering to-and-from the airport is a cheaper option than risking having your luggage lost.

Bus drivers don't show up to the Van Nuys station sometimes. At LAX, if you're not at terminal 1,2,or 3, you'll probably not get a spot on the bus. They need more busses and drivers.

* be sure to arrive early :) had a great experience. Easily bought last minute ticket online, boarded bus driven by Jesus (super friendly and informative!) and got to LAX within 35 minutes and to my terminal (all the way around to 5) within an extra 10 minutes! SO much more cost efficient and in my opinion safer than an uber! Thankful to my roommates for telling me about this service and thankful to all the employees for keeping this running!

Flyway is awesome! 10 bucks to go to the airport and you get dropped of right at what ever airlines you're flying with. We used this service for the first time Aug 13th Tuesday at 430pm and our driver did an excellent job. He was very professional. If you're ever in L.A and need to get to the airport. Try this service!

How one car park at flyaway van nuys
The bus ride is about 45-55 minutes (Pre-Covid). International flights may require you to be at the airport 2-3 hours prior to boarding (Pre-Covid). Domestic flights 1-2 hours (Pre-CoVid). With Global Entry and/or TSA Pre you should be at the airport at least 1 hour prior. For a 8:45AM flight I would recommend to take a Van Nuys bus no later than 6AM if you have Global Entry or TSA Pre. Without those I would recommend a 5AM bus
How long are you going to plan to store your car in the lot? If you plan to fly out for more than a week it would be cheaper to Uber or Lyft to the Van Nuys Fly-Away, and back...
You can pay online or at the Van Nuys terminal with Credit or Debit card only, no cash. When you return from LAX to Van Nuys, just board the bus and you will pay at the Van Nuys terminal (or purchase online beforehand)
Good question. Not sure about that. You might want to contact them.
Can I take the flyaway bus if I work at lax
They only take card!
5 dollars a day very secure and safe I seen many officer's around that area and it made me feel safe!
I have used them once a month for the last 6 months and have not seen them sell out. They are however, running every half hour and NOT every 15 minutes like they used to.
You can purchase your tickets at the terminal or online. They only take debit or credit. No cash.
Yes just park in the first spot you see
Normally the bus will take a maximum of 45mins to 1hr to reach LAX. You can be at Van Nuys fly away around 1am so u can get to LAX around 2am which is 3hrs before your flight if it's an international flight and have luggage to check in.
I paid $35 from 4/6 to 4/12
No. You do not need airline reservation . You can not reserve space ahead of time.
It's $9.75 each way.
Flyaway is the bus name and Van Nuys shows destination sign in front.
Parking is $5 per day. Pay stations are located in the terminal.
I'm really sorry and excuse me but I don't know
I got there 2 hours before my flight, plenty of time to get a bus and get to my flight. There is plenty parking, it shouldn't be a problem. I suggest on your way back to go to terminals 1-3, I had to wait for a second bus when I was at terminal 6 for pick up, the bus was already full.
You have to call and ask, but I think not yet, all buses are free due to the pandemic
$5 per day.
There are large signs outside each terminal that tells you were to stand. Look for the teal flyaway sign wrapped around the pillars outside of baggage claim.
$5.00 per day
Not sure what you mean about warn the bus. But it has been hot and cold so dress accordingly
They will probably put it in the luggage compartment but it is fine to bring.
I would shoot to catch the shuttle about an hour before you want to arrive at the airport just to be safe. 😊
David I suggest you at least get in the 8:00 am bus just in case there is traffic
Assuming you are looking to get there at the airlines recommended 2 hour early time.approx 8am it's approx 45min to 1 hr to get to airport at this time. Buses leave frequently so this would get you there with time to spare.
You can take your carry-on on the bus and the driver will store your luggage under the bus
You should be on he bus at least 2 hours before your flight. I travel often for business and now that California has reopened LAX is back to being a madhouse. A 2 hour lead time will give you enough wiggle room to get to the terminal even with traffic and another hour to make it through security.
It's best to get to the airport about two hours early, play it safe ! The flyaway takes around 40 min. to get to LAX
When determining your travel time know what terminal your airline is in. Remember the Flyaway will stop at each terminal if crowded and add additional time for terminals further into the airport.
I would always plan for a little additional time, the buses haven't been as full due to Covid and people not traveling as much (May 2021) but this can change.
It's always open. Go to this link for information: https://www.flylax.com/flyaway-bus#FlyAway-Home
International flight, 4:00 AM Domestic flight. 5:00 AM
Yes!
Considering your flight time, be there at least two hours before your flight time.
It is but I believe only limited locations are operating. I think only Van Nuys and Union Square station are operating. You can visit their website for more detailed info (price/routes/schedule/tickets) Just used their services yesterday from LAX to Van Nuys Fly Away.
The buses run 24/7, like every 40 minutes or so.
Round trip should be about $20. Not sure on the parking.
You would even be fine with leaving on the 4am bus'which would put you Lax by 440 in an empty airport and gives u an hour to just BLOW ur mind over change and Normality
Yes. Lots of covered parking.
They recommend you be at the airport no later than 90 minutes before your flight. I would try to catch the 7:30 bus.
I do not know Check online or call them.
Yes
You should always arrive at the airport 3 hrs. before an International flight and 2 hrs. before a Domestic flight. Assuming this is an International flight, you will need to arrive at the Flyaway at 5:15 so you can take the 5:30 bus (buses run every 30 minutes). The bus takes about 45 minutes to get to LAX so you should arrive at LAX around, 6:15, which would be perfect since you should arrive there by 6:20 for an International flight. If you are flying Domestic, then just shave off an hour.
They weigh in your baggage at the flyaway.. If it's above 50lbs they'll ask you to either consolidate your bags.. But you check in at LAX with the airline you actually fly with..
The Terminal itself has wifi access but in the buses, there isn't.
My brother brings his in a carrier, on the flyaway because he flys with his dog. His dog is a dachshund.
I do not know.i do not work for DOT or DMV.sorry for that.
I don't think so, I feel like this flyaway is for LAX only. But a 9:00pm flight at Burbank you shouldn't have any problems finding parking there , easy in-out.

It's best to get to LAX too early and waiting there than it is to be stuck waiting in traffic or long lines and missing your flight. Try catching the 8:00 PM bus and here's why; 1) Thursday nights, Friday nights and Sundays nights are the busiest times at LAX, 2) In case the 8:00 PM bus gets full, you have the 8:30 PM bus as a back up, 3) Getting to the airport may only take 30-45 minutes but once the bus gets there, it can take another 20-30 minutes for the bus to go around the LAX airport loop, 4) The Terminal you are flying out of makes a difference. The bus will drop off riders at Terminal 1 first and then at each subsequent terminal with Terminal 7/8 being last. Each stop can take about 5 minutes or so, 5) TSA security lines can get long and time consuming, especially when LAX get busy. Times can vary from 10-30 minutes, sometimes longer, 6) The plane doors usually gets closed 20-25 minutes before the departure time. Get to your gate 45 minutes before the departure time.
I have seen TSA taking the bus to work at LAX
From LAX you just hop in. If you don't have credit/debit card, I noticed people asking favor by paying cash and they buy ticket for you in the machine.
AM or PM ? Weekdays or weekend ? Cuz it makes a difference. Weekends and and anytime PM prolly about an hour. Weekdays in the AM could be much longer depending on traffic.
Not that I think. Probably not. The bus goes from NoHo to LAX. At least when I've been on it
I dont think they do. They might give you a look and you should tip but I dont they limit it. I have traveled with 2 suitcases and 2 carry-on.
Currently being updated to $5/day. Was $4/day.
schedule? I just showed up purchased a ticket and a bus was boarding. There seems to be a bus there often. Took about 45min to LAX. Give yourself enough time to arrive on time for your flight.
I believe its $4 a day
Yes
$1.00 per hour up to $4.00 max. No more than $4 a day.
Nope. No cash at all. Unless you are planning on tipping the driver. Tickets are purchased by card only at the van nuys station. Just make sure you show up a little early so you dont have to miss the bus due to overcrowding.
If you are asking what time to leave I would be on the 5:00am bus. Be at flyaway by 4:30 - 4:40.
Van Nuys. Just get on bus at LAX. Upon arriving in Van Nuys you pay for ticket. 9.75 one way
