Spent 20 minutes at the register trying to buy a gift card. The front end manager couldn't figure out how to load it so she gave up; wouldn't sell me the card to load myself. Proceeded to get nasty when I asked for a receipt. Let's get this straight. I can be frustrated because I'm a paying customer. For a front end manager to get nasty is unacceptable; especially when the problem is not knowing how to do a task related to your job.

My wife and I shop here often, and have realized how challenging it is for management to get new employees and have them stay. Monday we did our shopping and I thought I would have to bag our groceries as usual, which I don’t mind because the cashiers are usually very personable, but this time there was a new customer courtesy bagger named Michael. Michael was fast, efficient, and looked as though he liked his job. Very refreshing. Give him a raise!

We started shopping at Safeway when King Soopers got rid of their meat cutters and saws. I can still get custom cut steaks and chicken at Safeway and they are very quality oriented. Their prices are better too.
