It was a freezing February morning. I was in a rush for work and started on my commute, only to quickly realize I only had mere minutes of drive time left in my vehicle I knew I would be roadkill if I continued without a petrochemical energy blast. Luckily the comforting glow of 76 beckoned to me. I pulled up to the station, swished my plastic, punched my zip, flipped the lever and selected good old unleaded gasoline. “You feeling lucky Pump!?” I mutter under my breath, and squeezed the trigger. The gallons and dollars swiftly increased, and in no time I felt the recoil in my hand. I holstered the steely nozzle and looked at the screen. “NO!” I don’t want a receipt, I exclaimed. I dashed into my vehicle, started the engine and proudly saw the tank meter slowly inch past F. I roared onto Fourth Plain Boulevard with a renewed sense of vim and vigor. I was ready to face my day with the confidence to tackle any traffic situation I could be thrown at, all thanks to my local 76 station!
