Merrill Gardens is a great community for a loved one. I have been in the senior care business for a number of years and decided to place my mother there when it was time. The staff treats my mom extremely well with dignity and respect. Because of her memory loss my mom needs prompting to go to meals and activities. After being there for a few months, I knew that I made the right decision. Every body knows my mom by name and she now knows that Merrill Gardens West Covina is her home.

Worst staff. Visited 7 senior communities, and they had the worst staff of all.. rude, judgmental, and genuinely don't seem to care about their residence, but care more about the work they have to do. One of the main managers Amy doesn't even come from an assisted living or medical background, yet she acts like she's all knowing, when in fact she's extremely rude and condescending. Also extremely small parking lot, and at the corner or an extremely busy intersection.

My 98 year old Mom moved here in early February and is very pleased with MG. It is new, clean, contemporary and has a very friendly staff. Other residents are friendly and reach out to newcomers.She does enjoy her bingo! She is ambulatory with a walker and walks daily. Staff have been very responsive to her needs across the board. Happy she is here.

An amazing community with an amazing team. The community looks great! It's brand new. More important that what it looks like on the outside is the team running it on the inside. I've known and worked with Sherry (the Executive Director) off and on for years and she's one of the best leaders in our industry. The residents and families at Merrill Garden's West Covina community are lucky to have her. It's tough finding leaders who genuinely care about their residents and employees as much as Sherry does. Congratulations to Sherry and her team on opening a wonderful community.

$15/hr I work here. You will be doing general maintenance and staying busy dealing with snobby tenants complaints, mostly showering and wiping their dirty smelly buttocks. Grooming the old people and applying lotion to their crusty skin. Caregiver here means "butler". They are low staff so prepare to pick up the slack.
